Before making a presentation it is necessary to list down questions that the audience is likely to ask, and then answer each such question thoroughly and logically in the course of the presentation (George, 2009).
Considering the audience The speaker should consider who the listeners are. The presentation should meet the specific needs of the audience, intellectually and emotionally.

The presenter should make a list of ideas and questions for the purpose of keeping track of the main agenda. Wandering off from one concept to the other might confuse the audience and thus lose their attention. However, changing the presentation media or tactics is alright, and may actually help in maintaining the attention of the audience (Amy 2009).
Practice The presenter should practice the presentation style.
He should test his presentation skills by showing to friends or other trusted persons. Honest and constructive comments given during such practice sessions should be utilized towards effective presentation.
