Our church had a growing phase over the years. There were beginning to be so many people that we overflowed the building we were in. The pastor of the church decided that we should have two different services on Sunday mornings until our new building was going to be built. We werent sure when it was going to be built, but we had faith. In my church weve always felt the presence of God, during worship or even hearing the word. When we walk into our church feeling sad or angry, we come out happy and full of joy. Thats how strong His presence is. When our building was finally built, we had our grand opening on February 15th.
Its a huge gymnasium building, thats going to be used as Gods house and for recreation, although the Basketball hoops arent up. Its two stories high and if you look at the building structure outside it looks like a warehouse with windows. Since then weve improved it by planting the Chinese bushes around it making a garden. As I looked at the beautiful garden, it looked right back at me saying, Welcome. When I walked into the building for the first time I felt a brush of air and welcomes from fellow churchgoers. I saw a certain green almost everywhere.
It was like green grass growing everywhere. The carpet, chairs, stairs, and plants brought out the green dcor. I walked down the long coffee shops hallway down to the grass like chairs. I looked up and I saw a never-ending ceiling. It was just like it looked outside, like a warehouse. You could see the gray air vents winding in and out of each other looking like the would tie in a know.

As I sat down in the chair I had chosen to sit in I smelt a distinctive smell. I smelt the smell of NEW. Every time something is new to me it has a certain smell. I felt the softness of the cushy chairs as it formed to my rear. They were softer than the other chairs. Everyone was talking about them.
I would have to say the cushy chairs were a big hit. It was traditional to start church with our worship time. So the music began and what I heard were the voices I have heard the whole time I went to church. It was the worship team welcoming God and the congregation into the new church building. After feeling God in the new building, I had recognized that it was the church Ive always known and will always love.
