Physical patterns in geography relates to Landforms, Natural vegetation, Climate, and Agriculture. There are wide variety of Landforms, Natural vegetation, Climate, and Agriculture. The physical patterns can affect North America by the appearance and the type of elevation there is.
Landforms
Two types of landforms are plains and lowlands and also hills. Plains and lowlands are usually found north of the Mississippi river in North America. They have high elevation and a flat appearance. Plains and lowlands are usually found in central Canada and America. Hills have a sloping appearance and also have a middle elevation. Many hills can be found south and east of the great lakes in between Canada and America. Also hills can be found near the west side of North America. There are also two others landforms.
Another two landforms are plateaus and tablelands and mountains. The plateaus and tablelands have a flat appearance. This landform is mostly located on the west side America. Also plateaus and tablelands are also located in Mexico. Mountains have a very rugged appearance with high elevation and also a very sloping appearance. Mountains are mostly found on the pacific coast all through out North America. Those were the four types of landforms.
natural vegetation
There are many kinds of Natural vegetation such as a coniferous forest and deciduous and mixed forest. The coniferous forest has cone bearing trees. This Natural vegetation is located all over Canada and some parts of America. Those areas have a cooler climate and hot so much precipitation. A deciduous and mixed forest has leaf shedding and coniferous trees in that area. They loose leaves in cooler weather and grows in warm climates with not so much precipitation. These are two types of Natural vegetation.
The Essay on Natural Vegetation
You might have surely gone to a park if you live in a city or to a mango, guava or coconut orchard, if you live in a village. How do you differentiate between the natural vegetation and the planted vegetation? The same variety may be found growing wild in the forest under natural conditions and the same tree may be the planted one in your garden under human supervision. Natural vegetation refers ...
The other different types of natural vegetation are semi-deserts and tropical grasslands. Semi-deserts have short grass and it is very dry with not so much precipitation. A semi-desert is only located on the west coast of America and also in a small part of Mexico. Tropical grasslands have tall grass with parklands in that area and also has scattered trees. It is mostly found in hot climates with a seasonal rainfall. There are also many other Natural vegetation besides these four.
Climate
There are different climates such as Subartic climates and continental climates. Areas with subartic climates will have low temperature in the winter and moderate temperature in the summer. Also there is not a lot of precipitation in those kinds of areas. This kind of temperature is in northern Canada. Continental climates are areas with high temperature in the summer but in the winter it is very cold. There is moderate rainfall through out the year. Continental climates are found in parts of Canada and a huge part of America. Those climates are only many of the others.
Another two climates in North America are steepe climates and mild climates. Where steepe climates are found there will be high temperatures in the summer and low temperature in the winter. Also there is not so much rainfall. Steepe climates are found a lot in Canada but it is mostly in western America. Mild climates have temperature in summer and it has moderate temperature in the winter. In those areas heavy rainfall occurs. Mild climates can be found half if eastern America. These four are main climates in North America.
Agriculture
There are two types of agriculture and the one is subsistence farming. Subsistence farming is nomadic herding, slash-and-burn, and crop farming. Subsistence farming is when people can only make food for their family. Nomadic herding is when people move from place to place with one type of animal such as sheep. They use it for food, shelter and clothing. Slash-and-burn is when farmers cut down trees and burn them. They do that because there are minerals in the trees. The minerals then go in the soil to make it a rich soil. Soon that soil dies and the farmers move to a different place. The old place they used will have trees. Subsistence farming is one type of Agriculture.
The Essay on Climate Change Paper
Global climate change is one of the most urgent environmental problems we have to acknowledge today. The world, as we have observed and recorded data over the last several decades, is in the midst of an unexpected alteration. Temperature in the winter season is changing more than other seasons and mid to high latitude positions are showing comparatively bigger changes than those of low latitudes. ...
Another type of farming is specialized farming. Specialized farming is the plantation of crops. Specialized farming is when farmers specialize in only on type crops or animals that are prone to disease and it is also prone to the market prices. Plantation crops are only grown for exporting the items such as coffee, tea, bananas and sugar canes. It is exported to countries that can not grow them. Specialized farming is mostly in Canada and America in North America. Those are the two types of Agriculture.
There are four types of physical patterns in North America and they are Land- forms, Natural vegetation, Climate, and Agriculture. Most of the physical patterns found in North America are mostly found on the west cost of North America. There are different kind of Landforms, Natural vegetation, Climate, and Agriculture.
