I have always thought highly of Columbia/Tristar Home video, but after viewing an advertisement that you?ve placed in Maxim magazine, I will have to think twice. The ad is of a beautiful woman holding up four movies (The Guns of Navarone, Eye of the Beholder, Bad Boys, and Mercy).
Her bust is showing and the quote on the top of the Ad states, ?Is that a remote in your pocket or are you just excited to see these?? After viewing this I was very upset with how you have exploited women in your magazine. All four of the movies being advertised are not sexual in content, but you allowed them to be advertised as sexual videos. What I like to know when buying videos is who is the actor or actress, and if the movie has won an award. Not that I?ll receive an erection will viewing these videos. I believe that your decision to allow sex to sell instead of the product is very immoral. I believe that in the future ads like this should not advertised in other magazines because of their offensive jester. Please remove this ad from future advertisements and be more truthful of what the product actually is. I believe that all four of these movies are classics and do not need the aid of sex to show that. I would like to thank you for reading what I have to say about this ad and I hope in future ads Columbia/Tristar Home video will think twice about placing this kind of false advertisement.
