This week we are discussing what the current goals of our individual organizations are, and what our organizations focus is and how training can help the organization reach those goals. This paper will also look at how training needs relate to the focus and overarching goals, and how they can affect the organization in many different ways and what type of training needs there is. The organization that I work for is a very new company formed in 2010, this is the year that we have focused on training and what the goals of the entire organization is, the first few years the company was just trying to stay above water.
Organization’s Current Focus and Overarching Goals
The overall focus of my organization is to the future considering that we made it through the first two years, and the future is to get more of the market share not by lowering pricing but to show better customer service and improve are ordering processes. My organization is focusing on educating, developing, to be able to grow the company in all aspects of business, but most of all is to enhance the customer experience and how we order product and what should be kept in stock at all times which will help us grow and evolve. When looking at our overarching goals we as an organization understand that they can give us a broader vision for the entire organization to grow. As an organization our overarching goals can be achievable within the next five years which will help us move our organization in the right directions.

One of our overarching goals is for our operations and communication so our organization can run smother and more efficient, and with a more professional attitude towards each other and clients. My organization will operate with more visibility and have better teamwork among employees through better dialog, which can cut back on mistakes and issues that may arise. The next overarching goal is education and staffing, by recruiting and hiring more capable employees which will build the diversity of our staff, through education and training that can foster teamwork and a better professional staff.
Training Needs and how they relate to Overarching Goals
The training needs for my current organization is to develop training methods that can focus on customer service, product knowledge, and professionalism. By using these methods we can develop and knowledgeable and professional staff that can be cross trained in all aspect of our organization to give customers a better experience when doing business with us. The training needs directly impact our overarching goals, because without training the vision, mission, and focus of our organization will be ignored witch can make the whole organization fail because there is not properly trained employees in the right position to reach overarching goals. Effect of Organizational Focus and Goals and Prioritize Specific Training Needs The effect of my organization’s focus and goals has on prioritizing the type and amount of training is directly tied with all aspect of my organizations from our mission, vision, and goals.
The main effect that on my organization is getting employees to understand and to focus on what is important and a priority for the company as a whole, there is different types of training that needs to be focused on for all departments that have and involvement in customer service, and being professional to other employees and to customers which will have a great effect on where the company is headed and if they are able to reach their main objectives. When considering different training methods and what type of training is more important than other, you have to look at an organization overarching goals to make sure that you can prioritize training that is more efficient and helps you in the long run reach your companies overarching goals. That is why my organization has geared our training programs to product knowledge, customer service, and communication which will help us achieve are goals faster and more efficient and in return we will have a more knowledgeable staff that is focused on customer service and professionalism The focus and overarching goals go hand in hand with training and there overall development of the organization.
