Paintball Guns: Simple or Complex
Paintball is quite a new sport and is becoming more and more popular. It has been around since 1982, but professional paintball teams have just recently come together in 2002. The first known paintball gun was made by John Barker in 1982. At the time he had a job designing air guns for Daisy Inc. After his work with Daisy Inc he created the first ever “paintball company known to many at JT Products. Now JT Products is one of the largest paintball companies in the world, producing practically everything needed and used in the game of paintball. They have also made the NPA (National Paintball Association).
This was created in 2002 and has many different teams that are sponsored by a variety of companies. Paintball has come a long way since the creation of the splatmatic and is now a very popular and sport. With all the types of guns and accessories to choose from the range of any type of paintball gun is sky high. The combinations are infinite and so are people’s analysis of each one.
The inner workings of a paintball gun can be very simple all the way up to very complicated. There are many different ranges of guns that range from pump action to full automatic paintball guns. The most widely used and know and one that I have owned for 4 years is the Tippmann 98 custom. This paintball gun can be modified to any lengths. At first glance the gun gives of this very simple look. With a total weight of only 2.9lbs its very light compared too many other guns. From the trigger with the safe and fire button on the right side of the gun all the way to the cocking mechanism that id used to actually propel guns out of the barrel. The stock version comes with a 13’ barrel seen in the picture to your right as Fig A, that is stock as well but on the inside of it, its spiraled on the inside making the ball spin when it comes out of the barrel to make it more accurate. At the front of the gun there is an iron sight system as seen in the picture as Fig B. This iron sight on the end of the gun is a common thing on real world military guns today; this also allows the shooter to be more accurate when firing at a target. Moving from the tip of the gun towards the actual trigger frame the complexity of it doesn’t change so much.
"In order to reduce gun vilolence in the U.S., there should be stricter gun regulation." Violence and crime in today's society is inevitable. Human nature is full of hatred, jealousy, and chaos. Throwing guns into the equation adds security for some, and vulnerability for others. Gun regulation is a topic of debate that has been going on for years and looks to be going on for many more to come. ...
Even though the gun looks like it put together with just a couple of blots is exceedingly sturdy and allows for ruggedness when playing in certain conditions. The handle and trigger shown in the picture as Fig C very simple, with a single lever trigger and a soft grip handle the trigger frame gives someone that feel of comfort and sturdiness if they have ever held a gun before. The mechanics of the trigger frame are so simple that there is no worry about jamming or breaking of this gun. The simplest way to put it is that when the cocking pin shown as Fig D in the picture on the top of the gun under the trigger is pulled back it is ready to fire. When someone goes to fire it and they pull the trigger an spring inside the trigger frame releases allowing the cocking pin to move forward and shoot the ball out of the gun and as another ball loads into place from the hopper which is shown as Fig E in the picture. While the ball is being reloaded into the chamber from the hopper the spring inside the cocking pin gets held back into place so that about the time the first ball is out of barrel the shooter is able to fire another ball because the spring re-cocked automatically instead of the shooter performing this action.
Now when it comes to paintball and guns many people chooses to upgrade their guns to make them look as realistic as possible, or they make them shoot faster, or be more accurate. Me I decided to go with the reality look a make my gun look like an M-16. When I first bought my gun I originally started with everything stock just like the picture shown above, but after a while playing with my friends and seeing what other people did to their guns I thought that it would be a good idea if I modified my gun as well. At first glance the gun is completely different from the stock version. Everything is different about it all the way from the barrel to the butt stock on the end. But the one thing I didn’t change was the inner workings of the gun because I felt that I have had this gun for 4 years now and it hasn’t failed me yet so why go and change it when it’s working fine now so I left the stock insides alone. But first off with my gun it originally had a 7’ barrel with an iron scope on the end of it but when I upgraded my gun the barrel is about 3’ longer so it’s about a 10’ barrel and the design of it has a shroud wrapped around the barrel shown as Fig 1.A. Along with the upgraded barrel it also came with and upgraded iron sight.
The question of Gun control is in the news. The subject comes up with each election along with the latest tragedy statistics. Both sides of the debate throw explicit words towards the other, it all turns into an argument and there seems to never be any agreement. It’s very disparaging to me to see the innocent lives of children taken and for a defense gun owners hide behind what amounts to a ...
Shown as Fig 2.A at the end of the barrel there is a “birdcage” muzzle on the end of it causing greater accuracy. Now moving from far left to right the main part of the gun another addition that was added that isn’t shown in the picture above from the first paragraph is a red dot laser scope shown as Fig 3.A above, to the mounted rail on top. Fig 4.A shows a 100 round hopper that feeds the ball mechanically from the bottom into the chamber instead of having gravity do it from the top of the gun. These two additions give it that look and feel of a real gun such as an M-16 with the all black and 10’barrel with the circular m-16 shroud wrapped around it. It gives it that feel of a real M-16 without it being a real M-16. Finally the last piece of the puzzle that was added was the butt stock on the end of the gun. Shown as Fig 5.A in the photo above, when looking at the butt stock on the gun and comparing it to a butt stock on a military issue M-16 they are ex
Overall the gun you buy to play paintball with wont matter it’s all about how good the player is but what I’ve showed is that certain guns have the ability to be upgraded and with the right parts it can turn out like what I described about my gun. With paintball growing as a hotter sport every year people may eventually start to get interested in it as I did when I first started playing. With it considered the most exciting outdoor sport in over 50 countries it might eventually overthrow some of the other major sports like baseball or football. But in all fun when going out to by a gun it better to know the facts and get a detailed review on a product before buying it.
I am a regular reader of the ,,International News“ and I took notice of your article ,,eSports are real sports“, which appeared on the 21th September 2012. In your article you claimed that eSports are real sports. But first of all you have to mention not only the qualities of eSport but also the qualities of real sports. I think the most import thing of real sports is the physical effort and ...
