I was inspired to write this because i read an essay that someone wrote on this site about Pakistan. I was disapointed to see that that person did no research when writing their essay. They simply took what they heard from a person and wrote it down. I want to clear some things up that they wrote that were just wrong. They made Pakistan seem like a country where people are mistreated. They made it seem like women have no class in Pakistan. This is not true.
If you go to pakistan you will see that pakistan is very much like America. All kids go to school. Women have their own lives and they do whatever they want to. It is true that religion in implied on their lives, but it is by the choice of the people. If you walk down the streets of Karachi you will not see many women who cover there whole body except for there eyes. This cover as people call it is a Burkha. Not all women in Pakistan wear a Burkha. Infact the majority of the women probabaly don’t. The women who do wear the Burkha do so by there choice.
Nothing is forced in the religion of Pakistan which is Islam. It is highly recomended, but unless a women covers herself by her own choice, it has no meaning. People in Pakistan do not get brutal punishments. I have never heard of a persons hand being cut off becasue they stole something. There are rules in Islam where punishment is given. But there are strict ruled to when these punishments are given.
A persons hand may be chopped off if they steal ONLY if they stole something extremely valuable and they had no need of it. If a person is poor and they steal food or money because they are in need they are not punished. They are taken care of. Also poligami, having up to 4 wives, is not what it seems to people. A man cannot just go and marry 4 women for his pleasure. It is in extreme cases such as if he is unable to have a child with his first wife or if there is a women who needs financial aid and needs to get married, that a man can have more than 1 wife.

And even then he MUST have the permission of his wife to do so. Women are treated equal to men in Islam. Women are respected, cared for and kept safe in Islam. A woman does not have to wait for her husband to come home to eat. She can eat whenever she wishes to. There is a lot in the religion of Islam that people misunderstand and misinterpret.
The holy book of Qur`an and the books of Hadith, the teachings and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (S) peace be upon him. Teach all about Islam. Islam is a beutiful religion, and Pakistan is a great country. People have some misunderstandings about Pakistan. People should research and check out the information that they are about to put on the internet for the whole world to see..
