There are many individuals who quit smoking or drinking because they care about their health and find these habits harmful to it. Being healthier, aside from prolonging one’s life will also improve the quality of his/her life, in other words, a healthy human being lives a happier life compared to one who is suffering from a disease. Aside from not being able to concentrate, many studies have demonstrated that people with sleep irregularities are more vulnerable to develop anxiety, depression or other psychological disorders. Secondly, I try to eat well; I mean I try to have an adequate amount of every food groups; carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins. In fact having nourishing food is a habit that has to be developed in individuals who want to have a healthier body. Personally I would rather eat homemade food than fast food, there are also many studies that show the latter has no nutritional value, fast foods in fact, have a high fat and calorie content and can be potentially harmful to health if taken routinely. Furthermore, I feel way better when I have organic, homemade food.
Finally, it has been shown that doing regular sports has a great impact on one’s health. There are many studies that show doing daily sport has a positive effect on reducing one’s blood cholesterol and sugar which are the main underlying causes for many diseases and irregularities. By reducing these factors, one is less likely to develop diabetes or heart disease which may cause many further illnesses.
