There are so many ways to capture the beautiful images of life. The two most famous ones, though, are painting and photography. Now some people today prefer photography and others prefer painting, there are many reasons for their choices. Some people like painting better than photography because they love the fact that they could feel the texture of the painting. Where as on the other hand, some people like photography better than painting because they love the clarity of the picture and they love how they can see every detail. Some people even argue that photography is more popular than painting because it is a newer method of capturing the beauty of the world and because it does not take long to retrieve the pictures themselves. One never knows the world just may splint into three hemispheres, the people who favor photography in the east, those who favor painting in the east and those who favor both in the south. Yes, photography is similar to painting in many ways, but it is also very different. Digital photography is different from painting because unlike painting photography requires a camera. Also if a person messed up a shot in photography they can erase it and take it again, which is something that another person can not do when painting. Another thing that one can not do with a painting is alter it to be however one wants it on their computer. Photography was not introduced to the world until 1827 by Joseph Nicephore Niepce. When doing photography it is a requirement that the person have a memory card so that the pictures they take can be taken from their camera and uploaded to that person’s computer. When participating in photography, people have to make sure that the lighting is good and that the picture is focused so that it does not come out too dark or too blurry. Another difference that separates photography from painting is that a photograph is usually captured within seconds.
Now what separates painting from photography is the most obvious fact that in order to create a painting, the artist would need paint. Unlike photography, if one is to make a mistake while painting a picture, they will risk having to start the entire painting over trying to fix it. One also must remember that when they are painting, things can get very messy, so they will have to make sure to put down newspaper or paper towels so that paint does not get everywhere and the clean up will be much easier. Painting has been with us since the prehistoric times. The Australopithecus first used painting to communicate with each other. The used the paintings to tell about legends and about the events that had happened during their day. Painting requires many tools, such as paint brushes, easels, water, wax paper, pallet, paper towels, and a scene to focus on. A painting, no matter how long it takes, still takes a period of time to create.
