Who and what does plagiarism/fabrication really hurt?
Plagiarism has the capability to hurt others on a personal and professional note. Students are assigned written pieces in an effort to challenge and improve writing skills. By using someone else’s work in place of their own, the student does not gain anything other than a good grade if he/she is fortunate enough to get away with it. Most high school students are not wise enough to value the experience they gain through the work they do, but cheating on them does not in any way benefit them. Additionally, depending on the person, taking credit for another’s work can do great damage to one’s guilty conscious. When fabrication or dishonest work is done, not only is the author hurting his or herself, the reader is also affected by the lie. No one likes to be fooled and trust is broken by both fabrication and plagiarism. Plagiarism hurts all that are affected by it — the author and the reader.
What should be the repercussions of plagiarism/fabrication be? In high school? College? Career?
Plagiarism is a very serious offense in the academically oriented world that people live in today. In order to talk about the repercussion about plagiarism/fabrication, students and employees must have a full understanding about plagiarism/fabrication; they must be properly informed about how to cite sources, why plagiarism/fabrication is wrong, and who it hurts. That being said, the consequences of plagiarism/fabrication should be more tolerant towards high school students as they are more naive and less tolerant towards employees as they should already be informed on the severity of plagiarism. High school students, upon plagiarism/fabrication, should be given one warning on the first offense, a zero on the second offense, and a suspension on the third.
The Research paper on Maritime Students Perception on School Related activities
School activities are very important for the students and for the school. For the students, because they gain new skills and motivation. It’s a real chance for them to enjoy school and choose to do something they are really interested and passionate about, and therefore their motivation for learning and their motivation for their teachers and the school increase. It makes them relate ...
The school administrators must treat all plagiarism cases the same way, and stress how plagiarism is plagiarism, no matter how much of the information one has copied. College students are definitely more informed on the case of plagiarism, so they must be punished hard for their wrongdoings. The first offense is suspension for a certain period of time, and the second offense is expulsion from school. Moving on to careers, there should be a no tolerance rule to plagiarism which is established when the employee gets hired. This rule is in place because plagiarism could land the company a serious lawsuit, thus damaging the company. The most important thing about plagiarism is to inform the employees and students about the severity of plagiarism and the correct way of citing sources.
Discuss, in detail, plagiarism/fabrication is an issue of ethics. You are given an assignment. It reads “create an original piece describing the literary scene of the 1800s”. Upon arriving at your home you realize you have a lot of work to do for your other classes so you quickly try to devise a plan that optimizes the amount of time it takes to complete all of this work. In this mental note exists “c/p an essay from the internet”. The day the essay is due, you hand in the paper not knowing what to expect. The teacher grades it and hands it back the next day. You see a big fat zero with a note “see me after class”. Among the various thoughts racing through your head “How badly will this affect my grade?”; “How did I get caught?”; “How am I going to explain this to my parents?” the only one missing is “How will my teacher ever be able to trust me?”. Plagiarism is quite common and is done for a variety of reasons.
Mostly, students commit this act because of outside pressures like other assignments and are looking for a quick solution to a ~3 hour problem. The consequences of committing such an act can be horrendous because it is unethical. Firstly, the person committing the action loses trust because the assignment requires it to be one’s own work, and the person is claiming another’s property as his or her own. Secondly, upon repeated use of plagiarised works, one can severely damage his or her own integrity. Therefore, it is an ethics issue plaguing the academic and corporate worlds that needs to be dealt with in a precise and merciless manner.
The Essay on Feminism In Jane Erye
Feminism is a very contradictory theme throughout literary history. It does not have to be seen as a complete rebellion against men, but can simply represent intelligence and self-worth in a female. This philosophy is shown in many of the works of Charlotte Bronte. She uses independence as a keynote in her thinking about her own life and the life of all unmarried women (Ewbank 157). One such work ...

Opinions:
Our views on Manti Teo’s situation is that it was all a hoax for him to gain popularity as the season unfolded. Manti teo made up the whole entire girlfriend situation so he could pull sympathy from the nation propelling him into winning several awards. One of which he hoped to be the heisman. It is too ridiculous to be true. Having a completely fake girlfriend, and playing like she was real and died from cancer is sick.
