POLICEMEN, A FRIEND:
People have a thought that the policemen are very rugged and rude. Hence they decide that they are the enemies of public or a comman man. Actually in the reality we must know they work for our safety and benefits. They protect us from various bad people. They work hard in maintaining peace in the society. They are the one who come first in helping us in the cases ofemergency. In case of a natural disaster they run to save other lives without having a thought about their own lives. The Policeman has to do many duties. He keeps watch over our houses at night. He controls the traffic on the cross roads. He finds out wrong doers and get them punished. He keeps peace and order in the country. He seems that law is not broken. This he does sometimes at the risk of his own life. At dead of night, when everybody is fast asleep, you can hear his whistle or sound of his footsteps. His name discourages people to quarrel among themselves. He puts check on unpleasant accidents and thefts. He compels people to follow the rules of the road.
During the distributing days he is boon to society. He remains busy all the times in a communal riot. He is always on the side of the poor. Thieves and evildoers are afraid of his name. He is a spy. In civil dress he inquires into the matters. He keep our life and property safe. He is very useful in averting the coming dangers. On the occasion of marriage processions, public meetings and religion processions he controls the crowds.

POLICEMEN, A FOE :
As there are very good policemen still there are corrupted men amongst them. They look for their lives at the cost of other lives. An incident that happened in the city brings a fear about the policemen. A 13-year old boy in north Chennai died after he was shot when he scaled a wall to enter the army’s residential quarters by a senior army official in Chennai, Brigadier. Skaters and police just don’t seem to get along. It’s unfortunate, especially since the police are the ones with all the authority. And a lot of them expect you to respect that authority, no matter how they are acting. If you feel that you were treated wrongly, you actually CAN do something about it! Call up the local police station and say, “I have an officer complaint.” You can have your parents help with this if you are nervous. If you live in a smaller town, you will probably talk to the sergeant. If you are in a bigger city, they might have you talk directly to internal affairs.
CONCLUSION:
The policeman is an extremely important part of the Government machinery. he should be more educated because an illiterate person does not know how to behave towards good and cultured families and his pay should be liberal in awarding for his extraordinary service.
