Mr. Willis, Miss. Gidden, Mrs. Sullivan, Teachers’, Students and our faculty staff on behalf of the student council body Good morning, my name is Richard McKenzie. On a serious note I am here to talk about why I want to be Student council president, how we can bring many creative ideas to help better the school life of our students, because remember they say that school is your home away from home. If so then it should be as calm, relaxing and comfortable as possible. The Student council is a way for students to have representation in schools; it gives a chance for us as students to make our own decisions on what is best for us. Who else is going to know what is best for us, the teachers have said it themselves; yes they’re going to be there for us but can a teacher be ever present in a student’s life to know what’s wrong, no its up to us to look out for one another. So the question must be asked what is a leader. A leader is a person who has a vision, a drive and a commitment to achieve that vision, and the skills to make it happen, a leader is the person who commands a group, organization at the most basic level, a leader is someone who leads other. But what makes someone a leader?
Their intelligence, yes, their strong will and attitude to lead, yes but what makes a leader, what makes a leader is their ability to speak. This is the best tool a leader can have, if the leader cannot speak his views or the views of the people how he can be called a leader, he cannot. As I stand here before you I promise to speak my views and more importantly your views on how to make your school experience better. Any problem you may have, I will listen, any request you may have no matter how small, I will bring it to the Council meetings and discuss and debate for you. I will be the true definition of a child advocate.
The Homework on School Council Speech
my council speech i would like to be school council because i have the ability to work with peoplle and voice peoples opinion. think that you should find out what people expect someone from the student council to give them, and find a way to do this. For example, if your class wants more sports and less homework, write a speech using lots of emotive and authorative language (“I hate!” ...
Since my time is limited, I will only outline two problems faced in the school; through extensive interviews with my fellow peers, teachers and faculty members, surprisingly I have learned that there is so much that people found wrong with the school. The things what I will be talking about is the lunch system and the Restrooms.
Lunchtime, I can speak for everyone when I say that lunchtime is the most talked about problem at charlemont high school. (Am I Right?) However, what are the problems exactly, I have broken it down into two categories, the quality of the lunch served and the variety of the foods that are served. The quality of the food, you ever got a patty that seems like the beef was not cooked properly or you get a single piece of chicken for your box lunch. The quality of the food is not mediocre but in saying it is below average for a company like juicy beef, I will speak for you while it is in the realm of possibly, I will try to make it so that every persons lunch seems like it was especially handmade just for them. Have you ever been to the juicy beef in linstead and wonder what exactly you want to purchase if you have not already decided what you wanted pre-hand? The difference between this juicy beef and the one in linstead is that their juicy beef’s give their customers a variety of choices, I am not slandering the schools juicy beef but the only things that can give you a healthy lunch to bring you over to the next sessions of the day are patties, box lunch or soup. Moreover, this is an everyday thing, repetition can get tiresome and boring, and I with the help of the council will try to bring a little variety in the foods that are served.
The other problem was an interesting topic what I understood was that two party’s were blaming one another saying it is their fault. The topic that I am talking about is the Restrooms. One side is saying that the toilets are never in working condition, there is never any water to flush the toilets, there are never tissues in the Restrooms and the Restrooms smell, for some there is a long string of problems. Now the other side is saying that it is their waste, and their complaining. My view on the matter is instead of blaming people, why not do something about it. Our principal Mr. Willis always use a saying that I admire “Rights way with Responsible”, the first time I heard this saying I didn’t quite grasp the meaning, but now it is clear to me. I will utilise the help of the council to help restore the restrooms, put them back into proper conditions. This is a right that I have giving to you, to have immaculate restrooms now I way the responsibility on your shoulders to keep these restrooms in their restored conditions. This way everyone is happy.
The Essay on School Children Problems Eat
Field Project To start off my discussion about inequality in the world I asked my sister four questions. 1) What is your American Dream? 2) Do you think there is an exit for children who live in poverty? 3) What is your idea of "mak in it"? 4) As a citizen what do you feel you can do to help? I wanted to get an idea of her overall thought before telling her the brutal truth if she doesn't already ...
I alone cannot make changes; the council alone cannot make changes it is through all of us that change will happen, those who want change stand with me and I will stand with you, together we can make a difference in this school and help pave the way for the next generation and let them have a brighter future.
