Punctuality
I have to write this essay because I was tardy to my naval science class.
military bearing is to conduct yourself with dignity and is such a manner to reflect credit upon the naval services. Military bearing exists when this individual is proud of their military service. When you exhibit military bearing you are showing your peers (fellow midshipmen) how to act and giving them an example to follow. Military bearing is the root in which every service member practices in order to carry out good discipline and ethics throughout ones military careers. Punctuality is a major aspect of military bearing. Without punctuality, one can neither perform properly in the workspace nor be depended upon by their coworkers, or chain of command to carry out their military duties adequately. A military member is required to be punctual, and reliable. Lack of this in a service member not only hinders themselves but the midshipmen that choose to follow them.
Today I will talk about doing the right thing, being in the right place, at the right time. Punctuality is one of the many ways to show professionalism. My goals in the navy are high and in to days navy you have to be perceived as a high speed naval officer. Perception is the key to success, now that I have been tardy to my naval science class my superiors, peers and fellow midshipmen have the right look down on me. A unprofessional naval officer say things like “I will try to complete my responsibilities Sir.” While a professional naval officer make statements like “I will get it done Sir leave it to me.” I want to become that professional naval office when my time comes and it start by doing the right thing, being in the right place, at the right time. Punctuality is a necessary habit in all public affairs of a civilized society. Without it, nothing could ever be brought to a conclusion; everything would be in a state of chaos. Only in a sparsely- populated rural community is it possible to disregard it. In ordinary living there can be some tolerance of unpunctuality.
The Term Paper on Importantance Of Proper Military Appearance
My name is Private First Class Ryan A. Littleton and I didnt get my hair cut. I have disrespected the United States Army by forgetting the importance of Military Appearance. It is important to show civilians that I care about them and this country and I will fight for them and protect them. If I look like a slob then I will not be taken seriously by my country and I want to project to the people ...
It is a NAVAL OFFICER responsibility to do the correct thing 24/7. Many times people turn to us for guidance and we must be there, and ready to lead from the front. To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late. My LT. has preached this to me this whole year. Thought my short period in r.o.t.c my mentors and LT’s have instilled in me the importance of accountability. Every part and piece has to be in place for a clock to work. Not one cog or gear can be missing. Just like the Military, every branch has a job to do. Without that navy doing their job production gets slowed down, and or is halted. No matter how big or small the job is, it needs to be done because in the end our result is freedom. Being late for work can cause many problems that is often over looked. Showing up late could cause naval officers to lose motivation or the sense of self respect. A naval officer must hold themselves to higher standards even when put into tough situations.
