Why am I here? What is life really about? Is there any meaning to life? These questions all have something similar in them, and that is: what is the purpose of man? Most of us do not sit down and think about those kinds of things. I know I never really had, but there obviously is a purpose of man or none of us would be here right now.
Some people think that the purpose of man is to reproduce, then we die. Other people think that purpose of man is survival of the fittest. I, however, have not a clue what I think the purpose of man actually is. I know people just say to serve God. These theories got me thinking though.
The theory of reproduction and then we die, it happens to everyone. No one can argue with that. We are here on earth to live life as we think we should. That means going through being young to having to deal with the wonderful drama in high school, getting an education and having a career to falling in love, getting married and having children to growing old and dying. That is how God wanted us to live.
The theory of survival of the fittest, I think is different from the other theory completely. Life is a constant battle. It’s a fight no one can win. We all have to be able to survive on our own, whether it has something to do with health issues, family issues, or even financial issues. No one can avoid issues like these. Everyone faces them, and some
people struggle with them. I do not believe that the strongest man or woman survives. I
The Essay on Purpose of theory
A theory can be explained as a given set of principles or statements used to give an explanation to an occurring phenomenon. Theories explain existing situations and can be used to develop solutions to identified problems within an organization especially when it has been tested for a number of times hence acceptable or producing evidence based results. A theory differs from a model in such a way ...
think it may be somewhat of a team effort; everyone has to do their part to survive.
Serving God is basically what it says. Some things God sees as right; others He sees as wrong. If we happen to do the wrong thing that means we have sinned. If we have sinned, we have to be punished by God somehow. Sometimes that means God will not allow us into Heaven and we will be forced to go to Hell. Other times God will forgive us for our sins and allow us into Heaven.
After reading Tuesdays with Morrie, I had discovered that I really do need to sit down and think about some of these things and maybe even those questions stated above. This book got me thinking about why I am here, how is my life different from anyone else’s, when am I going to leave this place called Earth? Morrie Schwartz had great aphorisms that he told throughout the book that I also had started to think about. I’ve picked out a few to tell my thoughts on.
“Everything that gets born dies.” Morrie Schwartz did an excellent job of telling this because I believe this is absolutely true. Everyone or everything that is born on this earth eventually dies. This is how God made the life cycle. People get sick and are diagnosed with diseases everyday because God made them that way. God decides when it is someone’s turn to pass away and go to either Heaven or Hell. We can not control God’s intensions.
Although everyone has his or her own opinion, I believe that the body dies, but the soul will live on and go to either Heaven or Hell. I strongly believe this. Others may not
and that is quite alright. Some people believe in reincarnation, which is a theory believed to occur when the soul, after the death of the body, comes back to life in a newborn body.
Some people may also believe in purgatory, which is the condition or process of purification or temporary punishment in which, it is believed, the souls of those who die is in a state of grace are made ready for Heaven.
My favorite aphorism in Tuesdays with Morrie though, told by Morrie Schwartz is “ Love is how you stay alive, even after you are gone.” This aphorism is a great one, and is really important to me. I have lost many loved ones throughout my life already, and by sharing the love that we had with one another keeps those loved ones alive with me. I had my best friend pass away when I was in the 4th grade. She was also my cousin, which I think makes the bond that we had much stronger. There are times that I miss her, but at the end of the day I know she loved me and I still love her.
The Essay on Kindness Life God People
Kindness. What is it? Kindness is characterized by the quality or state of being kind. Kindness is a major element of, do on to others as done on to you. Most of God's gifts come to us as Grace and often it is not necessary for us to ask for these gifts. He has given us the gift of being able to overcome the difficulties that face us. We have much to be thankful for because of God's kindness to us ...
Knowing that I have people in my life that I have made an impact on throughout the years, when I pass away and when I am gone they will carry out me and who I am in them. I do not want anyone to forget me. I want to be remembered even after my death.
I think this aphorism is my favorite because we all know what it feels like to lose someone we love, and we know it is something that is very tough. No one really knows why our loved ones pass away. That is something only, God, himself knows.
“Death ends a life, not a relationship.” This aphorism kind of has the same meaning as the one above. Everyone’s life will end at some point, and people will be hurt and upset. Death happens, no one can prevent it. Again, it is how God wants it. All there is to worry about is if they accept that it happened, move on, and remember those who have passed.
“The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it
come in.” This aphorism is correct in my understanding. I think love is very important in any kind of relationship, no matter if it is a marriage or a friendship. We all have to give love before we can let other peoples’ love in. Sharing love does not mean that the words “I love you” have to be said. Just showing each other that we care and that we have impacted each others lives one way or another should say it all.
“So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they are busy doing things they think are important. This is because they are chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” This is true. I see people all the time walking around thinking that they have a meaningless life, and trying to chase things that are wrong. Everyone has meaning in life, but some people do not think so. This is why we see so many suicides and drug overdoses. They do not see their purpose or meaning to life. We see so many people become depressed and emotional also, but they do not take it as far as physical harm to themselves. People need to understand that we all have some kind of meaning in life, if we did not we would not be here.
The Term Paper on Catcher In The Rye Holden Life People
Part one: 1. Holden s Hunting cap: His hat is something that makes him stand out from the crowd and society. To Holden, wearing his hat says that he s not going to be like all the rest of the phonies. It s also something that he really likes and he constantly talks about it being different. On page 22 he refers to his hat as a people shooting hat, meaning he shoots people down when he wears it ...
“Don’t assume that it’s too late to get involved.” I think being involved with things is very helpful in life. There are tons of things to be involved in, such as, sports, theatre,
band, different kinds of clubs, and town functions. Some people think that being involved in something means that they have to be in that particular clique, but that is not the case. I think cliques are very overrated. People can be involved in all different kinds of things, maybe even more than one, and still have friends from each. People should not be judged
by what activity they are in or what sport they play. That is unfair and not right. Seriously stop and think about it. I began to realize that being different is everyday life for all of us. Everyone has their own personalities. There is no reason that we all should be the same.
“Accept who you are and revel in that.” This basically says be yourself. Everyone must realize that it does not matter what others think; it should be the feeling in the heart everyone must follow. Everyone is special in their own way and they have to accept it. Do not be afraid to show off the person God made. God made something special for everyone, not just one certain person. Some people may have the ability to sing, and others may have the ability to draw. That does not mean they are not human. It is the same thing dealing with gay people. Do not put others down, it is how God wanted them to be.
Everyone has his or her own opinion on the this topic. I still really do not understand what the purpose of man is and I am not sure if I will for a long time. After reading Tuesdays with Morrie and researching things on the topic though, I think I may have some ideas on it.
