Redwall Redwall is a tale of a huge abbey which is named Redwall and within it live all sorts of animals, such as badgers, mice, squirrels, shrews, rabbits and hedgehogs. Redwall’s greatest hero is named Matthias. He is young mouse who seems normal, even average, in appearance, but through a series of adventures and tests he discovers that he has courage and greatness within. This book is recommended to all teenagers because of three main reasons. The first reason is that it is a story about good verses evil and each has their own champions. The second is that it has amazing detail that makes you feel like you are right there.
The last one is that there is one last major battle to see what who will prevail. In the story Matthias, who represents Good, has to go on a journey to retrieve a lost relic. In doing so he also goes on a journey of life. During his journey he grows from a boy to a man.
He finds in himself what true heroes really are and becomes one that Redwall has never seen before. Cluny who represents Evil in the story is a rat that tries to take over Redwall. He controls an army of rats who obey his every desire. In this book Good verses Evil must face off. This quotation shows this: Matthias stood in the middle of a dozen fallen rats with his sword raised looking for his next victim.
Cluny stepped out of the shadows with his sword in hand. Matthias’ heart stopped with the icy glare Cluny gave him. This lasted only a second before Matthias leaped forward with his bellowing war cry, “REDWALL LLL!” . Clearly this quotation shows how Good must always face Evil at some point even though the odds do not seem to be in your favor. Evil can be defeated through the strength and courage of Good.
The Term Paper on Sacred And Transcendent Evil Good Person
The person as a whole, mind and body, is a very complex and unique organism that can be easily influenced by society. Since people are so easily susceptible to be influenced by others, each person must rely on their beliefs in order to make a judgment that is morally and ethically pleasing through their knowledge and experiences. A person's morals and ethics are formed through their religious ...
One of the best parts of this book is that it has great descriptions of scenery and the abbey’s grand feasts. Between all the fighting and action it has a nice contrast with the details of the scenery. This quotation shows this, “Dawn arrived as if it were not aware of the previous night’s events. Bright rays of sun shown down through the trees. Steam rose as the morning dew evaporated.” This quotation gives such a neat image but lets you still image it your own way. This book has much more details that are great.
As the book moves through the plot and is approaching it’s climax you can only wonder if Good can prevail through unimaginable odds or if Evil will conquer. “You, Abbot Mouse, you have until tomorrow evening to give me your answer.”I will not need until tomorrow, rat. How dare you come here with your robber band to read articles of death and slavery to me? I tell you that neither you nor your army will ever set paw or claw inside Redwall, not while I or any of my creatures have breath in our bodies to fight and resist you. That is my solemn word.” Cluny sneered and turned on his heel.
“Then die, all of you; every male, female and young one. You have refused my terms. Now you will suffer the punishment of Cluny. You will beg on you knees for death to come swiftly, but I shall make your torment loud and long before you die!” Of course there has to be a huge battle to find out which prevails. This battle was everything I wanted, but not everything comes out right. The author puts a twist on the ending, which makes the reader begging for answers.
I recommend this book to all teenagers because it has a great story about Good verses Evil. It also keeps your interest with wonderful details of places and people. But to bring it all together it has an awesome battle. Which leaves you say, “WOW.” This book is a wonderful novel and I urge all of you to go and read it..
