Before I enrolled in English II, I had problems formulating my ideas, because I was unaware of the varieties of semantic meanings that most of English words are associated with. It its turn, it used to prevent me from coming up with a coherent statements, during the course of writing persuasive essay. As result, the degree of persuasiveness, associated with arguments, I used to come up with, was very low. However, I after I began taking English II class, the situation improved drastically. I was able to learn that, when it comes to writing a persuasive essay, it is very important to understand how to transform the introductory part into the actual statement.
I also learned a great deal of how to build phrases and sentences in the most effective manner, so that readers actually enjoy the literary qualities of the essay, because this alone often defines their willingness to accept my point of view on the discussed issue. Prior to taking English II course, I did not have a comprehensive understanding of persuasion techniques. For example, I was unaware of the fact that readers will never be willing to accept my ideas, unless I convince them that these ideas actually correspond to their own, in one way or another. In order to win audience, writer needs to know how to present these facts, without stirring up too much of a controversy, because people often have a hard time, when it comes to expanding their intellectual horizons. Thus, the effectiveness of persuasion, on the part of writer, consists of his ability to popularize his point of view, as only the appropriate one, without alienating the audience.

This can only be achieved if writer is confident that his essays will automatically be associated with literary finesse, as the objective category. It will not be an exaggeration to say that I would still be having difficulties, while trying to convince readers in the validity of my argument, if I had not taken English II, as course that improved both: my communicational skills and my argumentative ability..
