Right of Choice The subject of abortion has come up time and time again. Rights to life, feel this way or that. Do my opinions about a subject as a male really concern everyone else? I am not sure how my views can change a world, but I am sure they can shed some light into the topic that is no longer taboo. I am Pro-Choice for many reasons. I believe that, since a man is a contributing factor for a woman’s pregnancy, he should have some say. I do know and understand that being a man, we cannot fathom what it is like to give birth to a child. I believe it is not my place to tell woman she should or should not keep it.
Although, I think sometimes there are mitigating circumstances why someone may want an abortion, but I do not believe abortion should be used as a free form of birth control. I want women to feel they have some stake in their own lives. I am not going to rise up, and cast them out because they have had an abortion. I do not think the government should either. I believe the ultimate decision for an abortion should be left up to the individual. The government has a lot of power and control now, but this would allow too much.
I think this is were privacy steps in, and permits us to lead our lives as we see fit. To make decisions, not always the best ones, but ours in our own. To have an option to do what we feel is correct. I do not want the government telling me next, when I have to sleep or eat. I am not saying that it could get that far, but a powerful move such as that could lead to more catastrophic matters. I like having the ability to think, and act freely.
The Essay on Liberal Governments Life For The Working
The 1906 election, and subsequent landslide victory for the Liberals, was the first step toward the introduction of a welfare state. The Conservatives who were in power up to 1906 had basically ignored the concept of social reform; this had led to them losing the worker's vote and had also led to a decline in the standards of living for the working class. The New Liberals argued for more ...
I want a woman to have those rights. They are granted to us in the constitution, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in all situations. I do not believe the Founding Father’s wrote the Constitution, having in mind that it would allow for that right of choice. I believe that it this precious document protects that right for every person. Besides, if a woman wants to have an abortion, who is really going to stop her? It is her life, and her choice. I think that abortion should remain a legal option for women.
I believe they need to have a way to handle situations that arise. If you make it illegal, you will see the times of the underground doctors, performing abortions with no sterilized medical items. Young ladies would not be protected from people that do not know what they are doing, and say they can help. Women back in the 50’s, 60’s, and even early 70’s were searching out these backdoor surgeons. As medical science progressed, women were able to get better treatment, and not have items such as coat hangers or wire brushes used to perform the operation. I do not view abortion as murder. I also believe whole-heartedly, that it should only be performed in the first trimester.
I think I do have a problem with women searching out for an abortion after that. I do not like what I have heard about, what types of abortions take place, I mean the way they conduct it, after the second trimester has begun. I have heard about partial or labor induced births, then as the child’s head protrudes out, then suck out the brain, instantly killing the child. They claim it is still not human. I do have a problem with that. I am not sure what the future holds.
I want to think men and women can be more responsible about their sexual exploitations. I know that problems will always arise such as unprotected sex, but I do not think that in the near future that abortion will no longer be an option. I hope we as a society can come to a conclusion and figure out a way of being more responsible. Not using abortion as population control, or just as birth control. To be honest, I do hope one day that all abortion will cease. I am just not sure that in my children’s children’s lifetime that this situation can be resolved.

It is an issue that hits the home front and faces us everyday. We have to confront life’s challenges head on. I know there times we think it is an easy way out, but as men and women we need to be more careful as well as accountable. If you are old enough to have sex, then you are old enough to suffer the consequences of your actions. I do not plan on ever blowing up and abortion clinic, or shooting the doctor who performs them. I just think that humanity needs to gain an insight into life.
Treat it as something more valuable than a paycheck, and regard life as something more than a nauseating feeling in their stomach.
