But to make the process more efficient and cost-effective, we have purchased state-of-the-art desktop publishing software, called At My Desk, which we will use to produce the newsletter in-house. My new assistant, Chris Jones, will direct production and train employees in using the software. Training •All employees who submit articles to the newsletter must attend a two-hour training workshop in using the At My Desk program. •Workshops will be held throughout November and December.
Chris will send out a schedule of workshops, and sign up is on a first-come first-served basis. •Once you have been trained, you may begin submitting articles electronically. Beginning January 15, all articles must be submitted electronically. Procedures for Electronic Submission of Articles •When you complete the training, you will be given a PIN to get into the newsletter site. Once you have prepared an article using At My Desk, go to the newsletter site and click on that month’s newsletter.
