The proposal introduces an educational program designed for the children victimized by the Typhoon Yolanda that hit the Philippines, particularly Leyte and Samar recently. The contents of this proposal are the purpose, scope, budget, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the suggested project.
II.Introduction A.Purpose The main objective of this project is to be able to give the children victimized by the Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines especially in Samar and Leyte not only hopes to a bright future, but also knowledge every individual should have. The group thought of the “Service for Education” program to be able to help the victims and their families. It is a program that both parents and children will gain advantage to.
B.Problem With the recent calamities that the Philippines are facing because of the earthquakes and typhoons, the houses, schools, and commercial areas were greatly affected. The children stopped going to schools because of broken classrooms or classrooms used for evacuation centers. The group suggests a project that will give a solution to both parents and their children.
The project called “Service for Education” is a drive to bring the kids back to school while the parents are doing community service in return. In such way there will be a give and take relationship between the government and the victims. The parents will help the government rebuild the areas greatly affected by the calamities and their children will be given proper education in return.

C.Scope The project the group is suggests limits only to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda in the Visayas Region as such Leyte, Samar, Cebu, and other more. The duration of the project the group suggested is good for a short period of time, specifically good for a three to four months. The group’s proposal is also limited by the number of students the program can accommodate and the educational materials that can be used because the delivery of the materials can have difficulties due to broken roads, bridges, high ways, and telecommunication lines.
III.Background Scholarship grants that are given for deserving students can be a good background about this project. As stated earlier the project’s main purpose is to give the kids victimized by Typhoon Yolanda a proper education while their city and family are still in depression, in such way it could help solve the problem the government is facing. Education is the most important thing an individual can possess; it cannot be stolen or even taken away from him / her. With this project, it could not only solve a problem temporarily but also for a longer use.
IV.Procedures and Time Frames The project is suggested to first conduct a survey on how many kids or parents wanting to join the program; in such we could control and prepare the expected participants joining the project. After conducting the survey, the group shall discuss the result with the scholars that will be in charge of teaching and their stand about it. Once the discussion is done the schedule of classes, teachers, and number of students that can be accommodated will be discussed next. After all of these procedures, the group will conduct a sample dry run and see on what adjustments and problems that have to be addressed to. The table below shows the summary of schedule of the procedures the group has.
