The agency is very much needed because the city of Portland has been experiencing an increasing of domestic and youth violence, spousal and child abuse, assault, and incidents with road rage. So this program is needed and those exposed to the violence will have effects which can have major damaging effects on all the people involved. Violence in general, more so family violence, can leave individuals and children vulnerable and acceptable to future abuse later on in their adulthood. The evaluation plan for the agency will help end and prevent future and present violence by implementing prevention and education.
PEACE will help educate families on ways of raising a healthy family relationship between the individuals involved. PEACE will provide the framework to educate on and prevent violence. The evaluation plan will outline a plan that will work for the family to understand, strengthen and educate them on respect of nonviolent actions. The process evaluation plan will help review the services and benefits the clients receive by using methods. It will also document the problems and what is working in the program regarding the target population through interviews questionnaires and their feedback.
In order to know if the program is working properly, clients need to fill out surveys regarding the services offered from the program. The client’s feedback should be carefully reviewed since they are the individuals receiving our services. Getting the feedback and ideas from clients and staff could only help the agency improve their programs for their clients and families. This is very important because the client could let the agency know what is working properly for their family and what is not so we can improve what is needed for that family and future families.
