Introduction
Humor is like a sign of intelligence. So as to produce humor, an individual must be exceedingly original and creative. For example, if a person form a joke, he or she uses halves of the brain. The right brain is utilized for the creativity while the left brain is utilized to actually frame the joke in order to present it to another person is a sensible way (Jonson et, al, 419).
The mind must be hasty to create the link between a set line of jokes or a play on terms.
Sense of humor is a sign of creative innovation whereby the aspect of the innovation applies to individual who can view and associate the world around them in a sensible and logical way as well as in an unusual manner. This results in the saying, “Thinking beyond the box,” whereby the audience of the joke to be told is “inside the box” while the teller of the joker is “beyond the box.” (Jonson, et, al, 420) It is the reason why some listener of the joke may laugh while others may not.
A person can have both sense of humor and source of humor. This means that a person with a sense of humor can have the potential of understanding a joke and laugh at it. On the other hand, he or she can have a source of humor through being able to create a joke or a bon mot. Fortunately, one can have a sense of humor, but be okay without a source of humor because he or she can laugh at any joke spoken to him or her. However, it is quite not possible for one to have only a source of humor because he or she cannot know whether a joke is humorous or not.

A person with a sense of humor has the capability of striving in any social surrounding better than one without it. For example, a person can catch people’s attention and tell them a joke, and hopefully make them shout in laughter. However, in case of a person who doesn’t, he or she would look for other approaches of interacting with others. It is so because it disclose the creativity and intelligence in an individual. As a matter of fact, such instances should predict an individual humor generation capability, which should further predict mating success. It is for this reason that a sense of humor can be applied in the dating world. For example, most of the females tend to select humorous individuals as preferred relationship partners because humorous individuals are seen as less trustworthy and intelligent in comparison to non-humorous individuals, but they are more social than the non humorous individuals.
A sense of humor can be executed in various ways in which it may be such an important sign of intelligence. For example, a person may twist the meaning of various terms, utilize sarcasm, riddles, satire, simple jokes, and comedy (Jonson et, al, 420).
However, it all depends on the age of the person. Comparing children and adult, children have a mediocre intelligence level because their brains are not fully established. But adults have a sophisticated sense of humor because their brains are fully established. Moreover, children do not understand the language clearly because they are not taught sufficiently. It is for this reason that children laugh hysterically at “shit”
