The Essay on Readers Can Write Book Books Author
[English Regents-Part I] Recently I heard a speech from Dr. Mortimer Alder about the value of book ownership is that readers can write in their books. I believe that Dr. Mortimer Alder is correct. There are two ways to own a book the first way is the property right you establish by paying for it, just like you pay for clothes and furniture. The second way of owning a book is make it part of ...
The authors’ testimonies of leading others to Christ are inspiring and should ignite most Christian’s passion for sharing Jesus with others. After reading Share Jesus Without Fear, any reader who truly has a heart to please God will assess where they are and will at the very least, acknowledge that they can do better as it relates to sharing their faith with others. I think the authors achieve their intended purpose of converting readers from people who talk about the lost into people who talk to the last. (p. )After reading the book, I was so inspired that I went on Amazon. com and purchased the “Share Jesus Without Fear Bible” as recommended by the authors. (p. 43) The authors’ presupposition is that the person who is reading the book has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and is a bible-believing Christian. The authors presuppose that the reader is submitted to the authority of the Word of God and follows Jesus’ commands. Thus, the author presumes the reader will submit to the command which Jesus gives His believers to follow after affirming their faith.
This command is to go throughout the world sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and making more disciples. These presuppositions are valid as they can be verified in the Word of God and are biblically sound. In Share Jesus Without Fear, the authors provide logical, well supported and convincing arguments to support their claims. The book references many different scriptures to support their claim that all Christians are obligated to evangelize. Additionally, all of the book’s teachings and demonstrations are biblically based.
The book provides researched data to support its arguments and cites direct sources to confirm its statements. For instance, the authors encourage the reader to organize block parties to evangelize their neighborhood. Subsequently, it provides the reader with the name of a book on how to organize this type of event and offers the contact information for a person whom the reader can contact directly for coaching. (p. 119) The major evidence the author uses to help its reader truly believe they can share Jesus without fear is experiential evidence.
Share Jesus Without Fear Book Review
Fay’s concern for those reading the book will have one of two results: those who only talk about the lost or those who talk to the lost. Fays desire of those reading the book will be engaged in witnessing to the lost. Fay writes, “We must realize if we don’t explain our faith, our friends may never understand it and, therefore, never have an opportunity to be led by the Holy Spirit to believe it.” ...
The author’s testimonies are compelling and heartfelt and do not seem to be embellished. The author’s transparency and willingness to share their failure and successes work to assure the reader that they too can share their faith in Jesus. The authors of Share Jesus Without Fear eloquently and strappingly conclude the book by bringing the reader to a point of decision regarding if they will immediately, obediently and unashamedly begin sharing their faith in Jesus Christ.
If by chance the reader should still be fearful to share their faith after reading the last chapter, the book supportively contains an appendix which comprehensively reviews the instructions and teachings provided in the book. The authors are extremely thorough in their demonstrations on how to share the gospel. I don’t think they could have done anything more to prepare the reader to share their faith immediately following reading the book. The most significant aspect of Share Jesus Without Fear is that it provides motivating stories which grasp the reader’s attention and make evangelism seem like an easy thing to do.
Ingeniously, the book explains the need for evangelism while teaching the reader exactly how to evangelize. The book illustrates how our testimonies can serve as powerful tools in evangelism. The book does a great job at showing that God can use the most unlikely people to be powerful evangelists who lead others to Him. Share Jesus Without Fear is applicable to all Christians regardless of their denomination, status in ministry or where they are in the walk with Christ. The book is easy to ready yet full of knowledge and revelation.
Both a new convert and a pastor of 20 years can definitely learn effective strategies for evangelizing after reading this book. The only downfall of the book is that it is so comprehensive that it may be difficult for the reader to retain all of the teachings and knowledge that it provides. Readers will most likely have to revisit the book many times in order truly grasp all of the information provided. Reading Share Jesus Without Fear was necessary in moving me into a new level of evangelism. I actively evangelize and most people admire my zest for sharing my faith.
However, this book forced me to take a look in the mirror and recognize there is so much more that I can do and so many more people I can share my faith with. While I was previously content with my evangelistic efforts, I now realize areas where I can certainly improve. Overall this book does an extraordinary job at reminding its reader of their call for evangelism while providing practical and comprehensive instructions on how to share their faith. I would recommend that any and every Christian read this book and revisit it over and over again.
