There are many goals in my life that I would love to achieve. I am only 17 years old so I can’t write as much as someone twice my age so to say, but I strictly know my high school goals, college goals, career goals, and personal goals. As a 17 year old I have a lot already planned out so I will soon see how close I follow my goals. My first and most important short-term goal is to finish high school with a G.P.A. of 3.8 or higher. I cannot stress enough how important this goal is to me, for this goal will enable me to a higher possibility of getting into the college of my choice.
Freshman year I finished with a 3.0 so that means I need to study often to get to a 3.8 or higher, and sophomore year I finished with a 3.1, but that really isn’t my goal that’s just the lowest G.P.A. I will accept I really am aiming for a 4.0 or higher. I am most confident that I will be able to reach this goal with the help from teachers and family they will be a main factor in high school. There is only one more very important year of my high school life so I must study hard and work hard to reach this goal.
My next short-term goal has already been in my head since last year that I am a little worried about, I’m worried about getting a low grade on the SAT or ACT. This all depending on what college I would like to go to. So far I have not yet have not decided on what college is right for me. I have taken the PSAT (preliminary SAT) in 10th grade so I have a pretty good idea what the real SAT will look like. Taking the SAT in junior and passing it will open many doors for me to get into a great college. So I will have some practices with SAT books to help my study. I’ve been told that junior year is one of the most important years if you want to go to college. This test will either make or break my college application.
Personal Goals As A College Student
I have many personal goals I hope to attain as a college student. Along the path to my degree I will be setting an example for my children, building my own self confidence, and starting a lifetime of strategic learning. My parents are both college graduates. I watched my parents obtain their degrees while I was growing up, and it instilled in me a sense of the importance of a good education. I was ...
