1. Thesis
Energy crisis has been important issue recently. Because of the environmental effect, the decrease amount of fuel oil, and the rapidly population growth, we have to find out new energy resources. One of new potential energy resources is nuclear power. Although it has dangerous effect, it is generally agreed that nuclear power as one of useful alternation energy resources that should be considered.
2. Advantages
A. nuclear power is more efficient
B. produce low amount of air pollution, so it reduces global warming
C. uranium, as the source of energy for nuclear power is readily available
3. Disadvantages
A. nuclear power is very dangerous. Potentially, it causes big disease or high risk
B. radioactive waste is still unsolved problem
C. production of nuclear weapons by terrorist
4. Recommendation
Nuclear power can be beneficial or not depends on how people use it. Nuclear power can be a solution for the energy crisis. Moreover, the use of nuclear power wisely with full responsibility can increase the prosperity and standard of living. Government has to create opened relationship with citizen about the using of nuclear power. We have to remember that each of accident radiation happen because of human errors so that it needs controlling tightly. B. MAKING AN ESSAY

SHOULD WE WORRY ABOUT NUCLEAR POWER?
Energy crisis has been important issue recently. Because of the environmental effect, the decrease amount of fuel oil, and the rapidly population growth, we have to find out new energy resources. One of new potential energy resources is nuclear power. Although it has dangerous effect, it is generally agreed that nuclear power as one of useful alternation energy resources that should be considered.
The use of nuclear power properly can give some advantages. First, nuclear power is more efficient. One pound of uranium produces 20,000 times more energy than one pound of coral. Besides that, nuclear power produces huge amounts of energy from small amount of fuel. Second, nuclear power produces low amount of gas emission and many dangerous air pollutants which cause global warming (like monoxide, aerosol, mercury, etc) that we had get from burning fossil fuels. Third, uranium, the source of energy for nuclear power is readily available. Finally, it does not have to be developed first.
Despite the many advantages, some people argued that nuclear power is very dangerous. Although there is high security standard, accident can probably happen. Benjamin K. Sovacool has reported that worldwide there have been 99 accidents at nuclear power. For instance, the destroyed nuclear reactor in Chernobyl (Ukraine), Hiroshima and Nagasaki bomb in Japan killed thousand people. In addition, almost two-third (55 out of 99) of all nuclear accidents happened in the USA. These accidents make a public opinion that nuclear power is something scared and become a bad dream for some people.
Radioactive waste is still unsolved problem and extremely dangerous; moreover, it has to be carefully looked after for several thousand years. Another disadvantage of nuclear power is that there is possibility for terrorist produces nuclear weapons that certainly are dangerous for people.
Nuclear power can be beneficial or not depends on how people use it. Nuclear power can be a solution for the energy crisis; furthermore, the use of nuclear power wisely with full responsibility can increase the prosperity and standard of living. Government has to create opened relationship with citizen about the using of nuclear power. We have to remember that each of accident radiation happen because of human errors so that it needs controlling tightly.
The Term Paper on Pros and Cons of Nuclear Power
The release and development of the enormous energy potential locked in the atomic nucleus signified a key revolution in scientific research in the 20th century. With great potential and optimism of developing a pollution free unlimited supply of energy, nuclear technology was ushered into the 21st century where it has become embroiled in unending debates. Nuclear power is a clean source of energy, ...
