On a cold Friday night, we all met at the Churchs parking lot. It was 7PM and the sky was clear, which ensured me that this would be a safe trip to Vermont. It was around mid February, so it was quite cold out. There were about forty kids and about ten advisors that were going on this ski trip. Some people had their own skis, others like me, had to rent a pair of skis. Also, a few others had snowboards, which were a lot harder to use. Finally, around 7:45PM, all the equipment was loaded up into the trucks.
One pickup truck was carrying all the skis, two large vans carried twelve people each, and there were two other trucks bringing the luggage and the rest of the people. I got to ride up in the pickup truck with a good friend of mine, Chris. It was a long trip up to Vermont, with 3 hours left of travel time, it was now around 9:30PM and we were in New York. It was a fun trip up, even though there were four people in the pickup, so the back seat wasnt that comfortable. We did a lot of seat switching. We stopped at Dunken Donuts when we reached Vermont to get something to eat. I got a milk shake, because they also had a Baskin Robbins ice cream store there.
I dropped my milk shake in the pickup truck. I was lucky it just missed his CD-Changer. It spilled a little on the carpet, so it smelled like old milk for a while. We finally arrived at our Inn. It was a nice little place that was about 20 minuets from Mt. Snow. The temperature there was very cold.

Well below freezing. With that being said, we quickly unpacked and checked into our rooms. As soon as I unpacked, I quickly went downstairs to check out the game room, the TV room, and the indoor pool and hot tub. It was a high quality Inn. They served a very nice breakfast in the morning. We all ate quickly, and got ready to go skiing.
It was around 9AM when we left for Mt. Snow. This place was awesome! Mt. Snow has over 100 slopes to ski and snowboard on, and the snow was perfect, not one area with ice on it. The day was gorgeous out, with a nice temperature, breeze, and a sunny sky, you couldnt ask for a better day to ski. I started off with a skiing lesson, since I havent skied in quite a while. That took about an hours worth of my time. It was ok though, because we did have eight hours to ski, which was basically all day.
I met up with a couple of friends at the bottom of one of the lifts. I suggested that we should go to the summit, which is the top of the mountain, to meet up with some others, because they told me that they would be there. So we took a high speed quad lift, which was a very fast ski lift that seated four people and took them to the top of the mountain in about five minuets. Mt. Snow was about 4,000 feet high, so once I got up to the top, it took me about a half-hour to ski back down. We departed from the lift and found five of our friends waiting for us.
We decided to ski with them the rest of the day. It was a good group; we had a lot of fun. As for myself, I was doing pretty well. I fell a few times, but they were good falls. I was ending up in these weird positions, with one ski behind me and the other sideways in front of me, with my face in the snow, it was very funny. I got back up every time effortlessly and headed on my way down to the bottom.
When we all got to the bottom, we decided to get some lunch. It was around 12:30PM. We had till 5PM to ski. We had plenty of time to do at least five more slopes. Skiing was easy; I picked it up very naturally. I had a great time skiing with my friends, having a blast with them.

The next day was exactly the same as the one before it. We skied from 9AM till 5PM. We left directly from Mt. Snow to home, so we packed up on Saturday night. I was sad that it ended so quickly, but I knew that I had a great time and that I would be back next year, even more ready than before to have an even greater experience. With the weather being this good in ten years, it was one of the greatest ski trips that I have been on in my life.
