Yes, it is important because not only do they hold their company’s reputation on the line they also are responsible for the lives of the people that are working for them and the environment that they are working in. When an unethical decision is made it can be penalized with fines and even jail time depending on the severity of the situation.

They may also need to offer certain products at a reduced price for needy customers •Ethical responsibility- meeting other social expectations not written as law. •Legal responsibility- to obey local, state, federal, and relevant international laws. •Philanthropic responsibility- additional behaviors that society finds desirable and that the values of the business support.
