I have always been very involved with sports in my childhood, I am very active in my youth group at church and I am very active in my high school. Growing up, I have always had plans and goals to meet. I have always strived to meet theses goals and to accomplish the plans that I have come up with. Since I was a little kid, I knew that I always wanted to be a nurse like my mother. I knew that I wanted to make a difference and impact someone else’s life in a medical way. However, recently I have realized that I really want to impact the lives of children.
I want to become a teacher. I love working with children and children have always had a special place in my heart. I have been in a peer assistant leadership program at my high school for the past two years. It has helped me realized that I want to be an early education teacher. Working with the younger children makes me so happy. Knowing that I can make such an impact on a child’s life is such a challenge and being very active in sports throughout my life, I am always up for a challenge.
This past year, I have gotten the chance to work with a class of students at our primary school that have disabilities with their motor skills and with some who have mental disabilities as well. I have been considering becoming a special education teacher, to become a middle school teacher and coach, or becoming a high school teacher and coach. I love being around children and I really believe that I can make a fun environment for children to learn. As it the days draw closer and closer to graduation, I know that I want to major in education in college and make a difference in the live of children.
