Hello fellow Boxwoodians. As most of you know, I am AbdulAzim Olatinwo and I am one of the two Technology Rep candidates. As of today, I have spent 5 years in Boxwood or 1507 days and in those 5 years I have seen Boxwood grow and become a better place. In those 5 years I have made an unbreakable friendship with my teachers and peers. In those 5 years I have made unforgettable memories. In those 5 years, Boxwood changed who I was, how I see the world and how I react to it. I believe that it changed me into a better person. In the future, when I am a successful business man and I’m asked about the most important thing in my life, I want to be able to say Boxwood.
The place that made me who I am right now, the school that changed me into a better person and the school who made it possible to be here right now. Just as I am going to remember Boxwood, is how I want Boxwood to think of me, for people to say, “Yes! Azim, he helped this school to be a better place; he lit a path for others to follow. He was a great role model”. But, the main point is, how am I going to help the school? How would I joining the student council benefit student and teacher alike?
I want to join Student Council as Technology Rep because I believe that my wide knowledge about technology would benefit the school. Ever since I was a little kid, I would break apart phone, computer and other things and fix them, before people knew that it was missing. I was, and still am, fascinated, by the “magic” of technology. A nickname that I had as a kid was “Inspector Gadget”.
The Term Paper on Science Education in Primary School Years
Introduction The importance of science in the education of schoolchildren goes beyond just providing the first steps in producing the next generation of scientist. Since science is becoming a large part of political debates – such as in global warming, nutrition and energy (DeBoer, 2000) – at least a basic understanding of how science works and what conclusions it can draw needs to be ...
Some of you may know who “Inspector Gadget” was and some might not. When I see something, I do not let it go till I figure out all the functions, one way or another and trust me sometimes that is not very fun to see. I believe that my curiosity and my prior knowledge would help the student council in knowing what technologies to bring into the class to augment classroom education and wireless education. As technology rep, I would look into the technologies in the school, if it needs to be changed, if any needs to be added and also how it would make the school better.
As Tech rep, I would also be in charge of the tech team. How the tech team operates and when it does. I would try to make education become easier by searching for different ways teacher-student communications could be more effective “wirelessly”. The first time I saw the Student Council in action in Boxwood, I was awed, by the amount of power the students controlled.
By the fact that their choices could affect the whole school, that they spoke for the student body as a whole and that they knew what to do and were doing it. IMMEDIATELY, I knew that was where I wanted to be, to be able to be known as someone who helped to school, to change this school just as it has changed me
