Governments should spend more money on education than on recreation and sports. Do you agree or disagree? At present, all countries the world over are concerned about a quality of education. Therefore, there are the opinions whether or not governments should fund more education rather than recreation and sports. I strongly deem that education as well as sports and recreation are equally important for societies, so I absolutely disagree with this statement. An argument commonly put forward is sports and recreation present dignity of countries on the international level.
The well-known competitions such as Olympic Games, UEFA, winter and summer games, where all overseas countries get involved in. By participating in those sport competitions, it enables the winner-countries to represent honour and dignity of their countries on the worldwide platform. Because in terms of countries’ reputations, it is really significant for government to pay attention to sports. Secondly, it is not a secret nowadays that sports are an opportunity to make a career as well as much money.
For this reason, sports are becoming very popular particular among young generation. Take a look at famous and talented sportsmen and sportswomen such as Maria Sharapova, Christian Ronaldo, Tiger Wood and so on. They are not only very well-known, but they also are very wealthy and successful individuals, therefore, governments should also take it into account. Finally, last but not least is a healthy generation. Children, youths and adults should take a part in doing sports because their health directly depends on that factor.

It is an undeniable fact that our present routine affects our health. Due to the fact that people are only occupied by passive lifestyle, indeed, their health is usually very weak. Thus, if governments would like to have healthy nations, they can tackle this problem by funding money on sports and recreation. All in all, prosperity and development of countries based on healthy community, for this reason, it is vital to allocate money and attention to sports and recreation.
