The implementation portion of the Riordan project could in fact, prove to be one of the most challenging parts. However, this could be the part that is worth all of the effort. There will have to be a team of experienced developers in various different Information Technology fields to see the implementation portion stage through to completion; this cannot be known as a “one-man show.” Several of the departments within the Riordan organization will have to be given priorities when it comes to implementing the new human resource management system. Since this type of system has been deemed automated and is on an Information Technology platform, the initial two departments to consider are human resource management, and Information Technology.
The teams of professionals that are located in these departments would need to be part and parcel of the entirety of the system design and development processes. The other departments that should be considered would be finance and operational management, as they are a largely fundamental part of Riordan’s organizational decision making framework. What we are going to do, is show in this implementation the six different stages that will be incorporated into the new HRIS system at Riordan. These six stages are deemed necessary in the analysis of the HRIS and insure the success of the new system.

The Business plan on Information Management 2
Executive Summary The report aims to address the issue of information management within Lanway. Information, may feel is the most important resource any firm has, yet many firms have no appreciation of the cost, value or importance of the information they hold. By first outlining the steps and findings of an information audit carried out within the firm, conclusions are then drawn as to what ...
The system developers have decided to implement Riordan Manufacturing’s HRIS system by purchasing a software package that has been licensed by the Microsoft Corporation. This decision was based upon the compatibility of Riordan Manufacturing’s current Windows operating system. While the new human resource management system is being designed for Riordan Manufacturing, it is very important to consider all of the essential features and functions of it so that it can be assured that a flawless module is being developed. The actual HRIS will be written in HTML, C++, Visual Basic, and XML, while also using the MS-SQL server and the back-end RDMBS (PHPKB v1.5, RDBMS Concepts).
The source code will be accessible through what is known as a source code control system in order to allow the developers to make necessary changes to the HR system even after the project has been completed. The databases for keeping and maintaining all of the information within the system are also very important during the system implementation stage. Once each module has been completed, there will be a test phase in order to ensure that the completion of the specified module has been done and that it is error free before moving onto the next module for coding.
Testing
With each new phase of the HR system, testing of each individual module will have to be done to insure that each one is error free and moving onto the next. There should also be testing to make sure that it is compatible and has the capabilities to work with the SQL server. The development team should work closely with the head HR department managers to see that the system has been fulfilling their user specifications. Testing and inspections are very important to the process and will not be overseen during the development and deployment processes. This should also test the effectiveness and performance of the Microsoft HR package.
Installation
After all of the modules have been coded and assembled and the development team has finished testing and making any changes and corrections are needed, it will then be time to install the system and allow for test runs. Then, after the HRIS is installed, the Riordan Manufacturing HR department will be able to have all of the access to the new system. This will give the development team an opportunity in order to see how the system is run in a “real world environment.” During the first 30 days of this operation, the previous HRIS system will stay in use, and the information that is installed into the new system will be simultaneously installed into the old system. After this has been completed, and the system remains stable, compatible, and error free, the IT development team will then come and take out the old HRIS.
The Essay on Five Stages Team Development Model
Every team goes through the five stages of team development. First, some background on team development. The first four stages of team growth were first developed by Bruce Wayne Tuckman and published in 1965. His theory, called “Tuckman’s Stages” was based on research he conducted on team dynamics. He believed that these stages are inevitable in order for a team to grow to the ...
Documentation
As with any end user product, any support documentation that has been given should be included. The team will then need to hire a technical writer and have them come in to see the system up and running. After this, the writer will then work closely with the development team in order to complete a new HRIS user manual for the system. Also, to be included with this, there will also be supplied electronic documentation on the system as well; this will be added after the 30 days of testing has been completed. There will also be live support for any questions or concerns during this time to make sure that everything is addressed.
Support
Since the development team has decided to purchase the Microsoft HR system, Riordan now has access to a very successful end user resource support system. Riordan has agreed to an extended amount of support, both through our development team and Microsoft. The initial maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of the software will actually be handled by the Microsoft team. However, if there are any hardware or coding issues that come about, we will be handling the support. With the extended support, HR employees have the ability to be in contact with: telephone support, live chat support, remote desktop support, and interactive demonstrations of the system. Riordan Manufacturing has also agreed to hire an in-house expert from the development team in order to have assistance in any and all support issues that may happen to arise during the use of the new HRIS.
The Report on Dss-Decision-Support-System
(6/29/01 - advanced copy from Tammy Murray) Description of the System: Decision Support System (DSS) provides specific data to University staff members who need information to perform their jobs. This service facilitates the manipulation of data so that sound quality management decisions can be made. It integrates data from multiple sources, such as Financial, Human Resources and Student systems. ...
Conclusion
Riordian Manufacturing has been using an HRIS system that is very outdated. One of the most important aspects that everyone agreed upon initially was that an effective HR system is going to be the main link between the employees and company. Keeping this in mind, the development team is harboring the specifications and true achievable goals in mind during the development, installation, and support of the new HRIS upgrading process.
