People have different morals due to different experiences. The way you were raise is the way you will act upon. In the novel “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein the “monster” would be described as a complex character due to the way his life began. In result to this his unacceptable actions such as murder, blackmail and his threats may portray him as an evil person or rather creature. However when going back to his uprising and figuring out the cause of his actions the reader can sympathize with him because he was initially a very kind and goodwill person but noone one showed him any form of love or appreciation. Thus he turned into what everyone physically viewed him as. A Monster.
Frankenstein murdered victor’s younger brother William, who is just a child, However that may not gain him the title of being evil. His morals may make it ok due to his side of the story. This makes the idea of a complex picture that causes us to feel sympathetic for his character. For example as Frankenstein meets William he falsely believes that he found a friend who will now judge him based on his appearances. However he soon finds out that William is related to victor (his creator).
Learning this he states, “I have sworn eternal revenge; you shall be my first victim.” Then kills William, even though he has done nothing to harm or upset him.
“If you will comply with my conditions, I will leave them and you at peace; but if you refuse, I will glut the maw of death, until it be satiated with the blood of your remaining friends.” Frankenstein, upon confronting his creator, threatens the lives of Victor and his friends stating maliciously that if his wishes are not granted, he will personally feed them to the claws of death Killing
