The Essay on Boise Art Museum
Boise Art Museum is located in a serene environment with beautifully manicured lawns adorned with various artifacts. I had the privilege of visiting this renowned museum on 18th August 2003. During this time an exhibition showing the ceramic artistic works of Wanxin Zhang was ongoing. The ceramic works featured Chinese figures molded to the height of an average person and each piece having its own ...
The Museum currently serves over 20, 000 students, adults and seniors from seven counties each year with award-winning programs. In the new building, Artworks, TAM’s hands-on studio, will be fully equipped with art making equipment, including a studio to host artists-in-residence, making it more accessible, comfortable and conducive to creativity for visitors of all ages. The Museum also sponsors many public programs, including lectures, tours and performances, which bring the community into dialogues with artists of all kinds. Expanded event space will make these programs more rewarding for audience and artist alike.
TAM will be able to host programs such as film series and musical events, previously held off-site. Like the Tacoma Art Museum I hope to incorporate ideas that allow children as well as elders to have a good time in the Children’s Museum.
