Team C’s personalities are mainly made up of who we are as individuals, and the way we are perceived by everyone else. Personality traits are specialized characteristics that an individual has, which together form a personality (The Lists, 2013).
They can be both positive and negative, although judgment of that can be a matter of opinion. Personality traits are things used to describe an individuals behavior as well as a means of measurement in modern psychology. The Big Five are specific traits that are used to describe the human personality. The concept of the Big Five is from the work of Costa and McCrae and since 1992 has become one of the best methods for understanding the relationship between academic behavior and personality (ihowd, 2013).
The following paragraphs will discuss each team member’s results, solutions for working together using the information from the Big Five assessment, and a synopsis of the reliability and validity of personality measurements. Team Member’s Results
According to the Contemporary Trait Approach of the “Big Five”, Tammy is assessed as an extrovert, which has the personality dimension that includes enthusiasm, dominance, and sociability. In the agreeableness category, she is friendly, cooperative, and warm. Tammy is conscientiousness about being organized, dependable, and responsible. In addition, Tammy is an emotionally stable and calm person and makes good use of her creativity and originality (Friedman & Schustack, 2012).

The “Big Five” personality test measured Member’s personality in the five major dimensions of human personality that are often referred to as the OCEAN model (Atof Inc. Big Five Personality Test, 2000, 2009).
OCEAN is the acronym derived from the names of the five dimensions. The test concluded the following results. In the category of openness to experience and intellect, Member scored 53% indicating he does not typically seek out new experiences. In the category of conscientiousness, Member scored 89%, indicating he is very well organized, and can be relied upon. In extroversion, Member scored 59%, which pegs him as neither, particularly social or reserved. In agreeableness, Member scored 90%, and this means he is good-natured, courteous, and supportive. Last, Neuroticism, which Member scored in the ninth percentile reflecting his tendency to remain calm, even in tense situations. Member’s percentile scores are relative to a sample of people who participated in the website’s testing base. This test is subjective and is based on honesty when answering questions. Because of this, the test results are only as reliable as the truthfulness in which the questions were answered. Member’ “Big Five” personality test indicates the traits of agreeableness and openness were the two that scored the highest at a 4.4 and 4.3 out of 5. In the area of agreeableness, Member is explained as someone who likes to do things for other people and enjoys it. Her open nature is all about seeking new experiences and keeping an open mind on all other things. Both of these traits have Member written all over them, and she is proud of it. The next two highest traits are neuroticism, and conscientiousness, which she scored at 3.6 and 3.4 out of 5. For Member, neuroticism seemed to score a bit higher than anticipated because she believes in being positive but many negative things happen to her. Last, Member, who also used the “Big Five” personality test, found extreme scores at all levels of the personality assessment. In the field of openness to experience, measuring intellect, Nicholas scored high at 84%, reflecting an original, creative, and curious complexity. He scored a 94% in his reliability, organization, self-disciplined and cautious conscientiousness. Member’ personal high score of 97% displayed an agreeable extroverted personality trait, seen in sociable, friendly, talkative people. He is believed to be good-natured, sympathetic, and forgiving based on an 87% mark of agreeableness. The lowest mark, 4% was achieved under the category of neuroticism, indicating he is likely maintains a calm demeanor, even when approached with high stress situations. The ability to manage stress shows a sense of security and relaxation. The test results displayed a high-energy, motivated, dependable, and creative individual. The truly remarkable side of these results reflected, while Member possesses strong traits, he is able to manage the stress that can come with being “that guy”. In order for Team C to be most successful when working together, a team leader should be chosen who possesses personality characteristics that support a strong sense of leadership, dependability, and who is somewhat agreeable in nature. A team would also work best together when every member could try to remember that everyone has different traits and that patience is an important one, universally. Team C is a collection of givers and takers. The scores show extreme highs and lows, with room for flexibility.
