I am a student in Taiwan. I study English and Spanish there. I have never study abroad, but I am very proud of my English. I win almost every competition of English in Taiwan but last time I LOST. I am not flinch from speaking the truth… That day other participants whose pronounciation or speaking ability were not as good as mine, they got the prize.
I GOT NOTHING! My tear ran out of my eyes in mediately as I left the hotel where the competition took place. My head was full of the idea “UNFAIR.”.. My mom [She is not that kind of mother who comfort children by telling a lie] felt strange, too. I don’t know why… maybe I am not as good as I think… After that competition I am very depressed, I have no interest to study English, I feel i am a fool.
Day after day I still insist not to touch English, but being a student now I still have to. My classmate suggested me to chat on line with other people in English. It sounds very exciting, why don’t I give it a try instead of being depressed all day. Tha day, I met Kay. I told her about my story and the lesson “KEEP LEARNING” what I learned in that competition.
I still remember the words on the screen that day. She told me, “It’s doesn’t matter WHAT you learn, HOW you learn it is more important!” I was really shocked. She is right. I learn my lesson miserably so until now every time I look back the competition sadly depress dly. Thank you Kay I will keep working zealously FOREVER. I try my best to write down some thing that I was really touched.
