The dictionary definition of the term “Abortion” states that it is the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus and it also says that it is the spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during “the first twelve weeks of pregnancy.” Now, how can this be correct? You can have your little “embryo or fetus” taken from your womb at just twelve weeks pregnant but, after twelve weeks, what should we call this, “the murder of a baby”? This is a very contradicting statement to me and clearly not state the proper way. I feel that abortion at any stage is murder because it ultimately results in the death of the near-future child, but that is just me. Many controversies over abortion have been highly debated recently, especially the one on partial-birth abortion or more technically known as “Dilation and Evacuation.” In other words, this means to give birth; only the baby will be murdered during the process in a way that would even make even the evilest of men ill. During this wicked process the baby is partially delivered, has its skull punctured and collapsed to make the remains easier to remove from the mother’s body. Now if that is not sickening I don’t know what is. Since the Roe vs.
Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973, the abortion issue in the United States has been a political hot potato polarized into two camps stamped pro-life and pro-choice. Fundamentally, pro-choice proponents claim that a woman has the right to determine what happens inside her own body including the right to destroy an embryo. Pro-lifers make their stand on the rights of the unborn child as a human being. Both sides claim that their respective platforms rest on an ethical foundation of basic human rights. Government legislation on this issue often takes the so-called middle ground: that abortion can be legally sanctioned in early pregnancy but forbidden after a specified number of weeks of the development of the fetus in the mother’s womb.
The Essay on Abortion Saving A Life Or Murder
Legal Murdering I am here to discuss the topic of abortion. I. I have greatly accepted the invitation to come to this seminar and discuss abortion with you. A. I thank each and every one of you for attending this class. B. I thank you for listening to the previous speakers and me so intently. II. I light a match and burn a tissue. A. As I light this match, think about how the baby is feeling as a ...
The stakes are high. After all, the line between murder-the unlawful taking of human life and legal abortion hinges on the question of when human life begins. Some argue that life begins with brain activity, while others claim that abortion should be legal at any stage in pregnancy, even as close as the day before birth. I feel this is a sick way to think about human life, especially that of an innocent unborn child. Yet the all-important question remains: who and what determines the point when an embryo or fetus is no longer considered mere tissue but a distinct life with the moral right to live? This question is vital to the four-thousand babies that with be aborted in the next 24 hours.
Out of all of the horrors of abortion, the worst is that of the partial-birth option. I think the name says it all partial-birth means that the baby is partially born almost surely alive and then murdered just like an everyday occurrence. Many Americans and many members of congress loathe partial-birth abortion and yet it remains legal. In March of 2003, the US Senate voted 64-33 to ban the procedure. Just three months later, the House of Representatives concurred by a vote of 282-139. Unfortunately, the two bills calling for the ban were not identical.
The Essay on Abortions Are Done Baby Abortion One
Abortion: Do We Have the Right to Kill Each year millions of babies are conceived, unfortunately only about three fourths of them are actually born. Some of these babies die of natural causes; others are killed before they get the chance to experience their first breath. Abortion is fast becoming a quick fix to a rather large responsibility, especially among teenage women. Having sex is a huge ...
So then where does this leave those millions babies destined to be aborted by their so-called mothers? Because of this decision, the House and Senate must form a joint committee to agree on the final language of the bill, before it can reach President Bush’s desk. Normally this is a simple procedure but a few pro-abortion senators are taking advantage of the system. I, for the life of me, cannot figure out what kind of people we have making our laws. This problem among a swarm of many others is the reason our society is such a disaster. The people who are supposed to be making this world a better place are only making it worse for the next generation. I myself do not believe in abortion.
I have four children and every one of them is a blessing. Some of them were unexpected but I love them just the same. I personally have never been in a situation where abortion was an option. I could never see myself walking into a doctor’s office and asking them to kill my child for me. It would break my heart.
Just the thought of it disgusts me. On the other hand, many women are not capable to care for a child and may end up killing them after birth. I cannot say which is worse; they both are to me. I can say this though: there should be a cut off limit such as the first month or a couple weeks except in a life or death situation. It just kills me because so many women who really want children cannot have them and this world makes it impossible to adopt because it is so expensive. In closing, my opinion is that babies are a gift that should never be taken for granted.
If they were not meant to be born then they would have never been conceived. Our system in this world needs some drastic changes before things change in this department. Our Senate and our House of Representatives are the only ones that can stop this awful thing from happening. When they start making the right decisions for this country, maybe then these babies will have a chance to enjoy life, as they should, alive.
