The Amur is the 6th longest river in the world, it is 2,744 miles in the East regions of Russia. It meets the Argun and Shilka Rivers and flows to the Tartar Strait at the Pacific Ocean. The Amur river is the largest river in the world (It also has no dam).
For 1,000 miles the river makes a border to Russia and China.
The area around the Amur river has 95% of the worlds white stork. It also has alot of cranes and other birds. The river is the place where around 100 species of fish live. Most people take tours to see Amur leopard (only about 50 are still alive).
The river valley has a nice habitat for alot of other wildlife. You can only ride a boat in May to November.
The river was a place for ancient people in Russia and China. Archaeologists from two nations have teamed up to dig to find clues to see how these people lived. Some tribes are the Nani (most local people).
Now those clans are…Nanai (different from Nani) (pop. 12,000), Ulchi (pop. 3200), Udegai (pop. 1,900), Oroch (pop. 900), and Negidal (pop. 600).
Some Nanai and Oroch live on the Chinese side of the Amur River and other little rivers. Most clans depend on the river for there food and water. Most clans live on or near the river so they can have easy access to the river. There are island scattered on the river and most clans live there for protection. They also use rivers as transport for boats carrying food for the towns in Russia. The river flows east, but at Khabarovsk the river goes north. The most important river in the eastern part of Russia is the Amur river. It is 1,100 miles (1,000 along the border) (Which is 1,800 kilometers).
The Research paper on Mbo In Russia Organization Russian People
Introduction A successful implementation of MBO in any country requires a narrow examination of such elements as customs and traditions of that country, which give support to the application of MBO. The economy of the Amur Basin has manufacturing, iron mining, metals, gold, coal, wheat, soybeans, fish, wood and Chinese to Russian trading. The Daqing oilfield (the world’s 4th-biggest oilfield) is near Daqing City in Heilongjiang (about 1/2 mile from the oilfield).
The name amur means “Black water” in Russia. Some of the big cities it flows through or by are Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk and Nikolayevsk.
In the winter when it snows the river will sometimes freeze and make the river flood. When the river floods it will destory towns and most people will know when they should leave so they do not get stuck in the flood.
In the summer the tribes will go out to fish, hunt, and gather food. They make spears to hunt with out of bamboo or other wood they find, for the spear head they get 2 rocks and rub one on the other to make a sharp end on one rock. For the fishing spears/pole the get a stick and some string if they are making the pole, they get the stick and will do the same thing they did with the hunting spear (the rock will be lighter).
For the fishing pole they get some vines and shred them into little strings to make the poles string, For bait they will use worms, smaller fish, or leafs.
One of the tribes is the Ainu (Ainu means Human).
They pray and do ceremonies for the gods. These gods are nature gods, fire gods, water gods, wind gods and thunder gods. They also have animal gods like bears, foxes, and owls. They also have plant gods, like mushroom and mugwort. And they have object gods, like boats and pots and gods which protect houses.
This river is pretty important to these tribes and Russia. It is very important and without it the tribes would probly die. This river is the main way to get food, water, grow plants, and get protection. Without it Russia wouldn’t have many tourists. Since it is the border for Russia and China it lets them trade with boats and also by foot.
