The article is particularly interesting due to one simple fact, the author does not write about something that he has limited knowledge about. What happened in Columbine directly affected the author, and Mr. Castaldo has all the rights to speak out frankly and plainly. The understanding of this fact can provide the reader with better insight into the matter of the problem. I will try to analyse the article from this perspective and see what Mr. Castaldo can say about Columbine as the person that has some interest in this issue. The authors main point that is observable throughout the article is own disagreement with the policy of the White House, and in part of the former president William Clinton, in regards to the issue of domestic gun control.
Rick Castaldo sees the policy as one that will not bring any changes. What the author believes in is the fact that Columbine gun accident will be used by the government not for the resolution of gun problem but instead as the foundation for lobbing big government, liberal agenda.
