The Black Plague (Bubonic Plague) The Black Plague was a chronic disease; the disease causes fever and extreme pain in the lymph glands called Buboes that is how it got its name, Bubonic Plague. The plague causes spots which are originally red then turn into a blackish sort of colour The Black Plague was originally in rodents then it got passed to flies and other insects then to us humans. The Black Plague all started when a group of Italian Ships came from the Black Sea and then to China to trade their goods, many on board were already dieing of the plague, within days the disease spread all over the countryside and towns, after the next five years the Black Plague spread as far as North England and killed a hysterical 25 million people, 1/3 of Europe’s population. This disease affects anyone and everyone, unless you ” re already dead, there were really two types of Black Death, the Bubonic Plague is seen with swellings in the lymph glands, they inflate the glands on the neck, armpit and groin while the other form of the Black Death affects the lungs and chokes the person with his / her own blood until he / she dies.
The Black Plague is transmitted through the rat flea, it gets the bacteria from the rat then passes it onto us. The bacteria fills the stomach of the flea then it forces the flea to regurgitate thus resulting in the spreading of bacteria. There is no known cure for the Bubonic Plague; it can only be treatable only after receiving the infection with antibiotics and various other treatments.
