The Convenience of Online Courses
I wish online courses would have been offered in 1998. I would have graduated by now! On the first day of school paper syllabus were handed out. Some instructors discussed attendance requirements and went over the syllabus on the first day. Other instructors briefly explained the course and let the students go after passing out the syllabus. In 1998 there was no option to take online courses and the internet was mainly a research resource. Since the year 2000 community colleges’ have become more technically advanced, making it easier for me to succeed!
When I started back to school last semester, I was caught by surprise. On my first day the instructors didn’t pass out a paper syllabus? I was surprised when everything discussed was linked to the PAL portal. You need more information here. What did you learn? Did the instructor explain why he/she provided that instruction? Actually, I was close to lost and it took me a few weeks to get accustomed to it. Again, you need more information here. This is not developed sufficiently. Once, I figured out how to use the PAL portal everything started to fall into place for me.
Now, we are so technically advanced the instructors can start teaching on the first day. The first week is not wasted with discussions on attendance, grades, or the syllabus. Describe a course where this was different. How did it go? What did you cover instead, and how did that enhance your experience? BE SPECIFIC. Basically, all questions can be answered online. Even though you might not be taking online courses? You can resort to the website for almost everything.

It is so nice to have the option to take online classes or classes in person. Students attending community college come from all walks of life. The option to choose online or in person classes makes community college available to more people. Now, single parents that work during the day, have a chance to complete an online course at night while the kids are asleep. You have presented multiple ideas in this paragraph that are not reflected in the topic sentence. Your topic sentence suggests you will address only the options of online versus face-to-face classes, but then you introduce the diversity of the student body. That could work if it had been represented in the topic sentence.
I am a perfect example of someone that has benefited from the move in technology in community college. For the last ten years I have not been able to complete my last twelve credit hours. I have been so busy with work and family life it has been close to impossible. Now, with the help of online classes I am expecting to graduate this summer. This is exciting to my family and I!
You must double space throughout. If you don’t do it properly, you will wind up with extra spaces between paragraphs, or you won’t have a true double spacing between lines. Go into the word toolbar into PARAGRAPH, change all of those numbers to ZERO, and then click on spacing and select double. Future submissions like this will be rejected. All of this is stipulated in the syllabus, and I shouldn’t have to address it at this point.

It is nearly EXACTLY the same as your original submission, and that means you ignored the assignment requirements, and you did not employ ANY of the skills addressed in the instructional materials.
