Religion and science are two of the most conflicting issues know to exist. Reason being that each individual person has his or her own ideas and beliefs. Everyone makes their own decisions and no one can tell them otherwise. The decision is simply split two ways whether you in science more then religion, or religion more then science, either way both of these must exist because there must be a balance to provide comfort to the people.
Religion explained to people the why aspects of life, and people used it as a comforter to explain why things are the way they are. For instance a tree; there could have been an occasion where someone might of asked, why do trees grow up? and therefore they d go to a priest knowing that he d have the answer. Hypothetically speaking he could say, it is growing upward towards the heavens. People didn t know the answers to many things and they d refer to the higher power being, God, who knows everything. It was considered a sin to defy the words of the Holy Bible and God, therefore people accepted it yet their minds took it to the next level of discoveries. The church was against major discoveries that could of placed the Catholic Church in a bad situation, yet they didn t have the power to stop the people from believing in certain new discoveries.
Even before the beginning of the Catholic Church scientist and philosophers began to study the laws of life, nature, space, etc. and as much as the church would like to stop them (philosophers) from exploiting the truth, there wasn t much they could do. Darwin proposed the theory of evolution and what effect did it have on people? After his discoveries people gained the knowledge of being evolved from a single cell through natural selection. Before this theory people choose to believe that God created us and put us on earth. With new ideas, theories, discoveries, people have hands on knowledge of what this earth and universe has to offer. These ideas are proposed and we have a choice whether to believe them or not, no matter what, there is always a reason for everything; some of these things are answered and some are not.

Science and religion can be reconciled because people need two choices instead of just one answer stating: things are the way they are because they have to be, this is all crap, things are the way they are either because I choose to believe what scientist say or I believe that God the almighty mysteriously made it that certain way. Both science and religion are needed to fulfill the curiosity of human beings minds. In this present time people learn so much from their educational institutions; they learn about all the laws, everything that was discovered, and realize what conflicts both science and religion have been through. Because we learn about our past, the things that people have spent mostly their entire lives trying to solve and prove have enlighten us. The scientific knowledge is not the only thing pasted on, it is taught along with the history of religion. Religion and science vary in everyway possible but to classify the two one must say: science is used to comfort us in the physical aspect, it provides us with explanations that we need to distinguish the difference between what is real and what is not. It gives us the how things work, reasoning of life; religion on the other hand gives us the why things happen, obviously because God made it that way. We need both explanations in order to live a peaceful life without confusion; otherwise we would live a life with empty thoughts and no ideas as to why and how we as humans live and do the things we do.
