With the development of technology , a considerable number of nuclear stations have built up throughout the world .The statistics on this issue that about more than 30 countries have nuclear stations or use them to generate power such as the USA, Canada, German, the UK and China. On the one hand, these countries obtain huge benefit of nuclear technology, but on the other hand, some pollution, cost expense and health problems are becoming seriously. From my point of view, the disadvantages of nuclear power Technology">nuclear technology outweigh the benefits.
Firstly, nuclear technology tends to give rise to a vast amount of waste. Radioactive waste is the most significant pollution. A number of exporters who works in the department of environment mentioned it is very difficult to collect or dispose the kind of waste because the technology have not very efficient .There is no doubt that the pollution is spreading in the air or water .Also, all of steps of the nuclear fuel cycle manufacture a large percentage of ionizing radiation and uranium which involve many steps to dispose of them Each step involves separate facilities throughout the U.S. poisoning communities with radioactive and chemical pollution (mostly in western and mid-western states)(Nuclear,2008).In the last 45 years,the fission reactions at nuclear power plants had a huge number of waste in the USA(Nuclear,2008).So, if more and more counties will continue to construe the nuclear technology, the pollution of the world will become more serious. It is very irresponsible for the next generations.

Secondly, nuclear technology is harmful to people’s health. Living near a nuclear facility can increase human beings rate of death from breast cancer. A lot of facility release some toxic chemicals which will last more than billions of years including advanced level nuclear power stations. According to the country-wide research in the USA among 268 nations with 50 miles of 51 nuclear reactors, the citizens living near the stations had 10 times the national rate of cancer from 1950 to 1989.The cancer is a chronic disease, until now, there is no efficient ways to cure them. If people have this disease, he/she will suffer from pain, negative effect of chemical treatments. Patients are not only stand physical pain, but also mental problems such as depression and low mood. In the 7 years after the closure of 8 nuclear reactors, infant mortality rates (deaths to infants under 1 year of age) fell dramatically in downwind communities. (Nuclear pollution &Radiation,2011).For instance, after Fukushima’s meltdown, the rate of infants death increased about 35%in northwest of the US of American. In average , the death of babies in US recent years just increases only 2.6%.（ Northwest U.S. Sees 35% Infant Mortality Spike Post-Fukushima,2011).
Lastly, nuclear technology leads to Global warming because the reactor can produce greenhouse gas. In 2001, 93% of the worldwide reported emissions of CFC-114 that is a potent greenhouse gas, were released from the U.S.( Nuclear Power & Climate Change,2011).
According to the report of scientific Centre ,global warming has a negative effect on growing grain in the world, output of them decrease half of whole percentage ,some scientist predicted that is will be happen that lack of grain at half of this century.
Advocates announced that nuclear technology is clean and safe, most importantly, it can increase employment .In France, approximately 4% employed who have good educational background and professional skills ,is eco-economy, which is called green economy(NEA Issue Brief NO.9,1997), so people do not need to stop developing nuclear technology. But, one of the main disadvantages of nuclear technology is the high-level nuclear waste .It is literally about one million times more radioactive than when the fuel rods were loaded into the reactor. Also , increasing in breast cancer and death rate of babies. Therefore, in general, it is difficult to say that there are benefits for human beings. In short, the disadvantages of nuclear technology outweigh the benefits because they are harmful to the environment ,give rise to global warming and has a negative impact on our health. Governments should use their power to control building the unclear stations, protect the environment and keep nuclear technology safe. In my opinion, governments should decline nuclear technology harmful, also should limit the nuclear power station building.
