In the meeting room, a lot of boxes of bottled water are put on the floor. Some workers are taking the bottled water from the boxes to the meeting table. Lines of bottled water are standing on the table tidily. This view is easy to see before every important meeting in China. After the meeting, some of these bottles of bottled water were opened and almost all of them were not drunk to the less. They will be thrown in to the dustbin. This behavior is become a fashion in China. However, do we really need to drink bottled water? No, we don’t really need the bottled water. The bottled water causes a lot of problems for our society. Currently, bottled water has become the most popular drink in the world. Americans like the bottled water so much. “The United States is the largest consumer market for bottled water in the world, followed by Mexico, China, and Brazil.” (Wikipedia) Here is some data about bottled water in 2008, “U.S. bottled water sales topped 8.6 billion gallons for 28.9% of the U.S. liquid refreshment beverage market, exceeding sales of all other beverages except carbonated soft drinks, followed by fruit juices and sports drinks.” [ (Wikipedia) ] Some people think the bottled water is a very important thing in our life. But I don’t think so. The bottled water is not a requisite in our life. “It is not you chose me, but I chose you.” as the Bible said. It is not that we chose the bottled water, but the producer of bottled water chose us.
The Essay on The Gravity Bong Bottle Water Bowl
The Gravity Bong was introduced to the gravity bong by a friend. He told me the full name as described to him was the 'Afghanistan Gravity Bong'. We were sitting around one night and decided to try one out. While I could go into detail concerning the mechanics of the bong " so peration, I don't think that is really necessary. The reason it is called a'gravity bong' and not something else is this ...
There is a data, “in 1987, when the average number of Americans drinking bottled water was 21.6L. After ten years, in 1997, the average number had increased to more than 50L” (Guan, Who make us drink the bottled water?).
What make the Americans drink more and more bottle waters? It is the advertisements. A lot of kinds of advertisements make people want to drink the bottle waters. Some of the advertisements say we need to drink at least eight cups of water every day. However, we can gain the water from the fruits and the vegetables we eat every day. We don’t need to drink eight cups of water for every day. Because they want us to drink their water, so the advertisement tells us to do that. Don’t believe the lies for the bottled water advertisement. Another problem for bottled water is about the really value for the bottled water. In my point of view, drinking bottled water is wasting the money. “In 2007, Chinese citizens use about 30 billions of RMB, which equals about 4.572 billions of US dollars to buy the bottled water.” (Zhi) Not only in China, there are a lot of people in different country spent bunch of money to buy the bottled water every year.
In the Food& Water Watch report from America shows that the number that of the company which produce bottled water put the tap water into their bottled water have increase “from 32.7% in 2000 to 47.8% in 2009.” (Sun) The CEO of Food & Water Watch Says: “This data is the bottled water company never want to see.” From these sources, we can easy to see the bottled water companies are cheating our money. However, if we drink the water from the tap, all of this money can be used to other areas. I have heard an example, there is a city’s government try to stop putting the bottled water on the meeting table for one year. It helps this government to save a lot of money. I think we also can try to drink less and less bottled water. Then, we can use the money that is saved from the bottled water to help the poor people, and we also can use this money to help the people who live in places that do not have the clean tap water to drink the clean water. The plastic bottles of bottled water also a big problem for the environment. They will cause the plastic pollution. The bottles of bottled water are made from PET, “which requires a significant amount of energy to produce. While PET is considered to be recyclable, only a fraction of plastic bottles made from PET are actually recycled.” (Wikipedia)
The Term Paper on Water Bottle Rockets
Introduction A water bottle rocket is essentially that; a bottle modified in the image of a rocket then filled with a select amount of water that is pressurised and launched into the air due to the forces pushing the rocket upwards from the launcher. When the completed water bottle rocket is sitting on the launcher, the force of the surface of the launcher pushes the rocket up whilst gravity drags ...
This PET is one kind of plastic, which is made with petroleum. In America, “1.5 million barrels of petroleum are used to make the PET to make the plastic bottles every year.” (Guan, Who make us drink the bottled water?) What is more, these bottles will put into the ground after you throw it. And “their degradation time will take about 1000 years.” (Zhi) The bottles will also release some bad things to pollute the water under the ground when they are depredated. (Zhi) This means if the bottles are polluting the underground water, then we can’t drink the tap water because of the pollution. So we need to drink the bottled water again, and it will make the pollution again. This is a bad circle for the environment. The plastic bottles will also hurt our health. A scientist from Germany fined that 78% of the plastic bottles for bottled water have the Estrogen, which will cause the children sexual prematurity. (Sina) I also have seen the new on the newspaper. Some of the bottled water has many bad bacilli inside. This will make you become sick, specially the elders and children. There is a study find that “in 57 bottled water samples and tap water samples, all of the tap water samples had a bacterial content under 3 CFUs/mL and the bottled water samples’ bacterial content ranged from 0.01-4900 CFUs/mL(colony-forming unit).
Most of the water bottle samples were under 1 CFU/mL, though there were 15 water bottle samples containing 6-4900 CFUs/mL.” (Wikipedia) It tells us some times the bottled water is dirtier than the tap water. What is more unbelievable, “in another study comparing 25 different bottled waters, most of the samples resulted exceeding the contaminant level set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for mercury, thallium, and thorium. Being exposed to these contaminants in high concentration for long periods of time can cause liver and kidney damage, and increase risk for lung and pancreas disease.” (Wikipedia) In conclusion, the bottled water is making a big problem for our society. And it is not so clean and healthy. We don’t really need it in our life. As the citizens, we should drink less and less bottled water and try to drink the tap water. As the government, they should use the money to make the tap water more clean and tasty. They also should tell the citizens don’t drink bottled water so much. Don’t use the bottled water in the government’s meeting. When you want to open bottled water, please think about the pollution and the money. At less, when you are in a place that can drink the tap water, don’t drink the bottled water.
