SHE DIVIDES HER TIME BETWEEN BOSTON AND NEW HAMPSHIRE. THE STORY I READ WHICH IS THE GIVER IS SYMBOLIC BECAUSE IT TALKS JONES AND HES ASTI MENT AS MEMORY OF RECIEVER. THEY ALSO TALKED ABOUT THE GIVER. : 0} 2 nd THE STORY IS VERY CONFUSING TO FIND OUT IF IT TAKES PLACE IN THE FUTURE OR THE PAST BUT IT TAKES PLACE IN THE PAST.
THE PLACE THE STORY TAKES PLACE IN A COMMUNITY. JONES IS A TWELVE YEAR OLD BOY THAT HAS JUST RECEIVED HIS ROLE. HIS ROLE IS TO BE THE RECIEVER OF MEMORY. JONES HAS A NORMAL SIZED KID THAT WAS SOMETIMES CONFUSED OF WHAT GOES ON, TO ME HE SEEMS TO HAVE BROWN HAIR. HE LIKES TO PLAY SPORTS AND GAMES HES FRIENDS MAKEUP. THE GIVER IS AN OLD MAN WITH A LONG BEARD, AND A MUTCH THAT IS WHITE ALONG WITH THE HAIR ON HIS HEAD.
HE IS A QUIET MAN WITH A LOT OF PATIENTS THAT IS TIRED ALL OF THE TIME. ASHER IS JONES BEST FRIEND THAT ALSO HAS SHORT BROWN HAIR. The Term Paper on Lighted Place Man Story Montresor
Earnest Hemingway "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" The main focus of "A Clean, Well-Lighted Place" is on the pain of old age suffered by a man that we meet in a cafe late one night. Hemingway contrasts light and dark to show the difference between this man and the young people around him, and uses his deafness as an image of his separation from the rest of the world. Near the end of the story, the ...
: 0} 3 RD IT A STORY ABOUT HOW JONES TURN TWELVE AND GETS THE ROLE OF BEING THE RECIEVER OF MEMORY. JONES TURNS TWELVE AT THE SAME TIME AS ALL THE OTHER LITTLE CHILDREN IN THE STORY. ONCE THEY TURN TWELVE THEY ALL GO TO AN ASSEMBLY AND RECEIVE THEIR ROLES ON THE COMMUNITY. WHEN JONES IS CALLED UP TO THE STAGE HE RECIEVES HES ROLE AS THE RECIEVER OF MEMORY. ALL THE CHILDREN LEAVE TO GO TO THIER JOBS, WHEN JONES GETS TO HES JOB HE MEETS AND OLD MAN KNOW AS THE GIVER. AFTER THAT JONES GOES THROUGH SPEACIL TRAINING AND RECIEVES HES ROLE.
AS HE GOES THROUGH TRYING JONES JOB DOESNT TURN OUT TO BE FUN AND GAMES AS HE EXPECTED. : 0} 4 TH THE CONFLICT OF THE STORY IS MAN AGAINST MAN BECAUSE JONES IS RECEIVING MEMORY OF THE PAST. ONE OF THE MEMMORYS IS THE WAR, HE FELLS FIRE AND HEARS MAN YELLING AND SEES BLOOD FROM MEN BLOWN AWAY IN THE WAR. IT COULD AS WELL BE MAN AGAINST MAN BECAUSE JONES TRYS TO SURVIVE THROUGH THE HURRI CAN AND OTHER NATURE CAUSING THINGS LIKE TORNADOS AND FLOODS. THE POINT OF VIEW IS 1 ST PERSON BECAUSE ITS JONES TALKING ALL THE TIME ABOUT WHATS GOING ON AND WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST AND WHAT HAPPENING NOW. I DINT REALLY NOTICE A THEME BUT I THINK THE THEME IS MOST LIKELY THAT NOT TO THINK JOBS ARE FUN AND GAMES.
BUT THE ONE THEME THAT I THINK THE AUTHOR WANTS TO CONVEY TO ME IS THAT EVEN IF WE HAVENT FELT THE HURTLESS OF THINGS, OTHER PEOPLE HAVE, ALSO THAT US KIDS SHOULD BE KIDS WHILE WE HAVE A CHANCE AND WHEN WE GROW UP ITS GOING TO BE HARD AND PEOPLE TRUST US KIDS FOR EVERYONES FUTURE. MY OPI ON OF THE STORY IS I LIKED IT A LOT I THOUGHT IT WAS A VERY INTRESTING BOOK. EVEN THOUGH I READ THE STORY IN FOURTH GRADE I DID NOT MIND READING IT AGAIN. I LIKED THE BOOK BECAUSE IT WAS SORT OF SAD, AND INTERESTING TO ME.
THE ONLY PART OF THE STORY I DIDNT LIKE WAS THE FACT THAT IT TOOK SO LONG FOR JONES TO RECEIVE HES ROLE TO BE THE RECIEVER OF MEMORY.
