The History of Trigonometry is one type of mathematics that deals with the sides and the angles. In the First paragraph I would like to explain the main history of trigonometry and also go into detail about the certain aspects of the mathematic branch. Aryabhata the Elder, was a Hindu mathematician who gave tables of half chords, known by the term jya-ardha or simply jya. Hipparchus was known to produce the first known table of chords in 140 BC. Hipparchus’s work was further extended by Menelaus and Ptolemy who used Babylonian observations and traditions.

Trigonometry is applied by big corporate companies all over the world, for instance a architectural company might need to know the distance from a hill to a road turn, or a engineer might need to know the velocity when a plane lands, a marine biologist might need to know the mass or circumference around a certain whale or fish, all of these factors include trigonometry. Without it big corporate companies have flaws in calculations which create problems in there system, Microsoft uses trigonometry to scale out certain program patterns and recognitions, UPS or FedEx might need to calculate how far a destination is away from them, but in the end all of which are involved in using Trigonometry.
For my conclusion, I would like to say that Trigonometry Has a very old history dating back before Jesus Christ, all of which is applied in today’s world, from corporate companies, to small businesses trig is used in almost everything whether intentional or not.
