The Nazis would gather up Jews and uncomfortably cram them into pint-sized train cars, which would then drag the very claustrophobic Jews to either concentration or death camps (Collier 198).
At these camps Jews would be murdered in coldblooded ways, they could work to death, or be just plain exterminated in gas chambers (Collier 197).
1939-1945, in Germany was a very depressing time. A xenocide comparable to the Holocaust was the Bugger’s xenocide. The Buggers are a fictional alien type life form that attacked humans, in the book Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. In this book, the main character, Ender is 6 year old child living on earth where most 6 year olds live, but when a man came to Earth and told him he was to go into space, go to school with a bunch of other kids just like him, he was astonished. He was indeed what the school wanted he worked his way through school and became a commander and soon he became the one person that could defeat the buggers. Eneder defeated them by finding the Bugger’s weakness, their queen. The Buggers without their queen they break down and can’t converse with each other like normal, so they are helpless and very easy to kill.

This is what led to Ender being the hero and defeating the buggers. The similarities and differences of the Holocaust and the Bugger’s xenocide are quite striking. The Holocaust and the Buggers were two very significant genocides, which are very similar but yet very different. So what did I learn, I learned that the Holocaust was a very depressing time in Germany during 1939 – 1945 and that the Buggers xenocide was also a depressing time for their species. These two xenocides were very hard times for both, the fictional buggers and the real life people. The Holocaust was also a very big deal in the real world. It opened people’s eyes about just how crazy and evil someone can actually be and if they get in power they can do a lot of damage to their country and even their whole world. The Bugger’s xenocide opened up the eyes of the humans ,just like the Holocaust did, but in this case the humans didn’t just stand around watch as the buggers terrorized them they fought back and defeated them .
