The purpose of this essay is to give you information about lessons I have learned during my career and aspirations that I want to achieve in the future. First of all, I would like to tell you lessons learned in my career. First I will give you some information about my background to help you understand my story. I joined the army in 1995 after passing entrance-university exam. I was happy about that, and my parents were very proud of me, because it was not easy to pass the exam. I studied in 1st army officer training school for 5 years, from 1995 to 2000.
After graduating from the school, I became an officer. Because I have good result, the school gave me a chance to work there. I am a platoon commander from 2000 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007 I am a company commander, and I became an instructor from 2007 up to now. I have had a lot of lessons in my career, and the first lesson came from early days I was in military in 1995. At that time, everything in the armed forces was very strange to me. We learned a lot of things from simple ones like making bed and folding blankets to difficult ones such as using weapons and hiding landmines.
My first lesson came from a simple one which was folding the blanket. After getting up, we had to fold blankets, we had to make them looked like bricks. It took us about twenty minutes to do that. I did not have enough time to do that, because I usually got up later than other cadets. In addition, I thought it was difficult for me to do it, so I did not try to do. Consequently, I did it very badly and got punishment from my platoon commander that I had to fold the blanket for one week at noon- in my country, almost soldiers have a short nap after lunch, it is about 45 minutes-.
The Essay on A Lesson To Learn For Life
To Kill A Mockingbird is a novel of many lessons, by Harper Lee. Scout and Jem are the main characters about six and ten at the beginning. One of the lessons they learned was about judging people before you really know them. 42 A lesson Scout learned from Boo was about judging people. All the kids in the area thought Boo was very mean and hurt people. Boo was a really nice person but Scout didnt ...
I felt very embarrassed about that, so I tried my best to practise folding blankets. As a result, I did it very well at the end of my punishment and became the best cadet in the unit in folding blankets. The lesson that I learned from this event is that: “ if you try your best to do something, although it is a difficult one, you will get good result”. I had the second lesson in the fifth year as a cadet, when I took part in an exercise. That was a compulsory one. All cadets had to engage in it. If somebody did not take part in or overcome the exercise, they would not graduate from the school.
The aim of this exercise was to evaluate ability of cadets in applying knowledge and combat skills that they have learned during the course, and in reacting to different situations which were designed by teachers. The exercise lasted for fifteen days, and there were six objectives during exercise. In each exercise, teachers pointed one cadet as a company commander, and they pointed other cadets as platoon commanders and soldiers. The company commander had to prepare fighting plans, and conduct his company in battlefield to gain victory. Teachers evaluated cadets based on their performance.
During the exercise, we walked and run about two hundred and fifty kilometres with over thirty five kilograms on our backs. We carried weapons, food, clothes, equipment, and so on. Furthermore, we had to experience many tough conditions. Whenever we arrived a new place, we had to dig trench, built block-houses, and so on. We did not have much time to sleep. It was about four hours per day for sleeping. Difficulties of the exercise required good knowledge, good health and high determination from cadets. With a lot challenges we had to deal with in the exercise, not all cadets could accomplish it.
Although some cadets could not overcome the exercise, I got good result. But it was not easy for me to succeed. Before the exercise two months, I practised walking and running with thirty five kilograms on my back which was similar the weight I had to carry in the exercise. I also reviewed all knowledge that I had learned through the course…. The lesson I learned from this exercise was that: “if you understand difficulties and challenges that you have to confront in your task and do well preparation for that, you will obtain achievement. ” I had the third lesson two years ago when I engaged in shooting competition.

The competition was organized every two years by the school. The aim of this competition was to encourage officers in practising using effectively rife to enhance their rife-used skills. The conditions of the competition is that we used AK47 to kill off 10 targets in two minutes. The distance between shooters and targets was one hundred and fifty metres. Who killed off all targets in the shortest time would receive a gold medal. Normally, I was very good at using AK47, and I usually got gold medal. I did not pay enough attention on this competition, because I thought with my ability, I would obtain good result.
But the consequence was not as my thought- I got no medal. This upset me a lot, but it gave me a significant lesson that I should pay enough attention in every situation. A part from having many lessons in my career, I also have some aspirations for the future. As you know, I studied and worked in the same unit since I joined the military, so that I do not have much experience, especially experience in combat, and I feel a little bit bored about my job as an instructor. In the future, I want to change workplace with more challenges.
For example, I want to join peacekeeping to work in battlefield, to bring peace and happiness to people who suffered hardship by war or conflict, or I want to take part in a humanitarian mission to provide food, medicine, equipment, and so on to victims in disaster zones. That is my long-term aspiration. Now I am very happy to be selected to attend Malaysian Command and Staff Course 42/2013, because subjects covered in the course like International Relations, Strategic Management, and Malaysia’s foreign policy are very useful for me to make my long-term aspiration become true.
I also have chance to get experience and learn cultures from students who come from thirty one countries in the world. So I will maximise this chance and put 100% my energy in the course to get as much knowledge as possible. In conclusion, I have just given you main lessons that have had during my career and the aspiration that I want to achieve in the future. My career in the future may be good or bad- I do not know about that. But so far I love my career. I love being a soldier. I hope that lessons I have learned will help me in rest of my life and make my future aspirations become true.
The Research paper on Future Career And Sociology
I begin before the beginning. A paper must be written and papers always need to be introduced before they really begin. The first few paragraphs exist only to set up the real beginning where all the ideas that must be conveyed exist. The introduction is like the bread that presents the sandwich. Without an introduction this paper would be too messy; the meat of the sandwich would get all over the ...
