The Person I Admire The Most
The phone rang one hour after he was taken. I was twelve year olds and in sixth grade at an elementatry school in Mexico City, late in the fall of 2006. It was my mom’s birthday, May sixteenth, I recall that I was keen and anxious about celebrating it. Suddenly, the teacher told me she had bad news to tell me, dad had disappeared without previous announcement, kidnappers decided to take his freedom away and turn it out into four walls. In that instant, I realized how everything can change in a matter of seconds, as would a tornado destroy a city in a blink of an eye.
You never know what can happen or where your future is headed. My entire world banishing in just a matter of seconds. I thought to myself it may be just a nightmare, you will wake up and nothing of this will be true. Because of this experience, no one has ever had a greater impact in my life than my father. This helped me appreciate every moment of my life. His strength seems to be unbreakable during hard times, and is extremely determined to accomplish anything he sets his mind on. I hold great esteem for how he stands up for what he believes in, and will never back down. Whenever I feel like giving up, or have a question or a concern, I know I can always call on him for advice. I have also learned that sometimes you just need to be humble and except that things are not always going to be perfect.
I stayed strong, and belived kiddnappers would led him free, I have thought that my dad is a really superman. I was waiting him with a big smile, so he could see that I never give up. Without blaming, comforting or punishing me, he just gives me his life experience and tells me to remember everything its possible. He taught me everything about life; hope, faith, and the long journey ahead. To me he is the greatest hero.
