The 11th September 2001 was the day that changed modern history. It is known all over the world as 9/11, the day that shook America. Immediately after the attacks on the World Trade Centres North and South, many conspiracy theories surfaced about what actually happened on that tragic day. There are some true facts we know; the time that flight 11 flew into the North building, that flight 175 followed closely behind making its way into the South building. We also know that the number of lives lost was astronomical. 2, 753 lives were lost from 83 different countries all around the world. This was the day that changed America forever. Who was responsible, the American Government or Terrorists? That is the compelling question One of the most popular conspiracy theories based upon 9/11 is that the vice president of the united states at the time Dick Cheney told the US Air Force to ‘stand down’ and not to intercept’ the hijacked planes. US Air Force officials say that this is not the case.
Apparently what actually happened was that there was a routine military training that the US air defence commanded. Colin Scoggins, an Air Traffic Controller was quoted saying that there was no lack of communication between the military and the civilian air traffic control (FAA).
A lesser discussed conspiracy theory surrounding 9/11 is the fact that the World Trade Centre (WTC) 7 – the 3rd skyscraper to collapse on September 11th – collapsed and yet no plane hit it: how could this happen? The government claimed that building 7 was destroyed by fires which reached it from other close-by buildings. Scientists, however, disagree stating that fires alone could not reduce a steal skyscraper to rubble. Furthermore, investigators were not allowed to take samples or even go near the collapsed building yet scientists were able to get samples of dust from ground zero. We can only assume that the government was trying to hide something about the collapse of WTC 7.
The Review on An examination of the causes and effects of building collapse in nigeria
The research investigated the causes and consequence of building collapse in Nigeria using historical data from 1974 to 2006 and also proffers appropriate solutions. Relevant books, seminar papers, workshop papers, articles, etc. were reviewed so as to examine the general view of individuals that have worked on similar study. Data for the study were obtained through historical data of past ...
The officials from the National Institute of Standards and Technology say that a three year long investigation was carried out, which discovered that WTC 7 collapsed because of internal uncontrolled fires that were caused by the collapse of the close-by North WTC. These fires continued for seven hours as the main water sprinkler connection had been severed. No evidence of explosives were found and no videos recorded sounds loud enough to be an explosion. We do not believe leaders understood the threat. The terrorist danger from Bin Ladin and al Qaeda was not a major topic for policy debate among the public, the media, or the white house. Al Qaeda’s new brand of terrorism presented challenges to U.S. governmental institutions that they were not well-designed to meet. Though top officials in the white house and Air Force told everyone that they understood the danger, the might have been uncertain as to whether this was just a new and more intimidating version of the ordinary terrorist threat the United States had lived with for decades, or it was indeed brand spanking new, posing a threat beyond any yet experienced.
As late as September 4, 2001, Richard Clarke, the White House staffer long responsible for counterterrorism policy coordination, made the point of saying that the government had not yet made up its mind how to answer the question: “Is al Qida a big deal?” Before 9/11, the United States tried to solve the al Qaeda problem with the capabilities it had used in the last stages of the Cold War and its immediate aftermath. These capabilities were insufficient. Little was done to expand or reform them. The CIA had minimal capacity to conduct paramilitary operations with its own personnel, and it did not seek a large-scale expansion of these capabilities before 9/11. The CIA also needed to improve its capability to collect intelligence from human agents. At no point before 9/11 was the Department of Defence fully engaged in the mission of countering al Qaeda, even though this was perhaps the most dangerous foreign enemy threatening the United States.
The Essay on Hiroshima Attack Japan People
In this essay I'm going to discuss the reasons why America bombed Hiroshima. I'm going to talk about the positive and negative aspects of the attack on Japan. The major positive reason is that it ended world war two. But, this came with a great cost. The effects of the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima were devastating. Not only had the attack had an immediate effect, but side effects from ...
America’s homeland defenders faced outward. NORAD itself was barely able to retain any alert bases at all. Its planning scenarios occasionally considered the danger of hijacked aircraft being guided to American targets, but only aircraft that were coming from overseas. The most serious weaknesses in agency capabilities were in the domestic arena. The FBI did not have the capability to link the collective knowledge of agents in the field to national priorities. Other domestic agencies deferred to the FBI.FAA capabilities were weak. Any serious examination of the possibility of a suicide hijacking could have suggested changes to fix glaring vulnerabilities-expanding no-fly lists, searching passengers identified by the CAPPS screening system, deploying federal air marshals domestically, hardening cockpit doors, alerting air crews to a different kind of hijacking possibility than they had been trained to expect. Yet the FAA did not adjust either its own training or training with NORAD to take account of threats other than those experienced in the past.
The research I have undertaken shows that there are several very different conspiracy theories that surround the horrific attack that was 9/11. Terrorism plays a big part in the 9/11 attacks. Several theories of the 9/11 attacks are obvious: The fact that it was a mass-murder killing nearly three thousand people. It subjected many people to agonizing deaths for friends and families of the inoccent victims, witnessed by millions of people. It shocked hundreds of millions, of people who were just going about their daily lives at the time. Few people question these facts, whatever they think about other aspects of the attack. Other facts remain hidden from large portions of the population. In many areas — ranging from the way that the World Trade Centres collapsed, to the conduct and the carrying out of the investigations, to who benefited from the attack. Does this all come down to being a myth?
The Essay on September 11 Th Attack Attacks People American
On September 11, 2001 terrorists crashed two American airline airplanes into Twin Towers, killing thousands of people. It was the worst terrorist attack in American history and it showed us that we are not protected by Atlantic and Pacific. It showed us that we could be attacked by anyone at anytime. It showed us that if we will be attacked again that we can only depend on each other and not on ...
