This assignment requires you to locate and evaluate sources, to locate and evaluate data, to practice with research note-taking strategies and citations using MLA documentation, paraphrasing, summarizing and direct quotes, to formulate an arguable and provable theme statement, to integrate evidence and to write commentary which reflects analysis of research. The assignment also requires you to synthesize researched information with reading of a fictional text and to create a proper MLA formatted works consulted page.
