In life, we are constantly faced with choices that test our determination and willingness to accept change. It is in here that we uncover and decipher several questions that may affect our future careers as professionals. Seeing this, decisions and choices must come from the person’s willingness to overcome any obstacles and hurdles along the process. With this mindset, I wish to express my intention to transfer to your university. Looking at it, my previous education has helped me cultivate my talents and skills as an individual.
They were able to nurture the best that I have as an individual; with this I am forever grateful. However, I felt that the educational institution does not cater to my holistic endeavor as a student. Likewise, it does not help bring out the necessary values I advocate as an individual. That is why, equipped with the knowledge and information, I am seeking a University that will cater to these desires. I believe that by applying to this new school, I can gain not only the theoretical concepts and insights surrounding my chosen degree.
Rather, I can seek to maximize how I can actively reach out to the community given their prescribed values and objectives. Since the institution is rooted on the rule of St. Augustine, I can learn to harness discipline and dedication to persevere in whatever I wish to do. Moreover, I see that my personal principle affirms with the vision of this community of scholars which is ‘be one of mind and heart’. At the same time, I feel that I can better increase my interpersonal skills in this university.

I feel that both educators and students embrace the idea of diversity while at the same time tries to bring out the best on each one. In this area, it is important to reach out and conquer boundaries to harness greater cultural understanding and increased likelihood of creating vital relationships which in turn can be beneficial in the future. The University’s ability to reach out to the community is another example of why I wish to become part of it.
For my part, to fully comprehend the different needs of the students, administrators and educators must actively entice students not only to explore and increase their academic competencies but also try to be aware of the socio-political areas that are happening in their environment. Seeing this, I can associate myself with different organizations that cater to the civic welfare of the district such as Habitat for Humanity. It is in here that I can apply the theories and concepts learned in the classroom and serve as my way of returning back to others what I had achieved so far.
Another reason that I wanted to apply in this institution is because I saw a living epitome of how dedicated the University is in molding competent and value-driven students. My sister has been affiliated with the University and is now a senior taking up her preferred specialization. However, what made me inspired to pursue such application is her transformation as an individual. With the help of the community and her educators she was able to transcend what she had learned and acquired with the people around her.
Likewise, she used her skills and talents not only towards uplifting her professional goals but also with the overall objective to render service to others. Seeing such developments, I too would like to experience first hand how the University does that. I want to undergo the processes that will guide and serve as my stepping stones for success. Though there may be obstacles and hurdles along the way, I am willing to endure them because I believe that in the end, it can generate better outcomes that will help me transcend and give out my best in everything that I do just like my older sister.
As I continue to tread the challenges of the 21st century, there may be new values and principles that may arise. However, I still believe that there are certain things that cannot be changed. I feel that by immersing myself in this University, I can have the adequate training needed to boost my skills and have the capability to address the obstacles with a positive determination and willingness to incorporate change.
